I am Egyptian, born and raised in Cairo. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Cairo University in July 2018. In January 2020, I began my Master of Science program in the same department while also joining the department as a Teaching Assistant. In this role, I mentored students and taught courses in aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), gas dynamics, and thermodynamics. I completed my Master of Science in March 2022 and continued teaching until December 2022.
In January 2023, I joined the University of Maryland as a doctoral student under the supervision of Dr. Umberto Saetti at the Alfred Gessow Rotorcraft Center, Aerospace Engineering Department. My research focused on linearizing mid-fidelity aerodynamic solvers to enable real-time applications. I successfully completed my qualification exam in November 2024, my comprehensive exam in June 2025, and my defense in May 2026.
In May 2026, I became a postdoctoral Research Associate at the Aerospace Engineering Department at UIUC.
