If you want maximum fabric durability and a lighter build for long hauls, choose Hunthor Truck Gun Rack; if you need wider securing straps for superior stability on rough terrain, choose GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set.
• Hunthor Truck Gun Rack: Built from heavy-duty 900D Oxford fabric that resists scratches and wear better than standard materials, but it uses standard-width straps rather than the reinforced wide versions found elsewhere. This pick is ideal for hunters who prioritize rugged material longevity and minimal weight in their gear.
• GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set: Crafted with 600D Oxford cloth featuring PVC coating and significantly wider adjustable hook-and-loop straps for enhanced stability, though the fabric denier is technically lower than the Hunthor option. This set is perfect for drivers who face extreme off-road conditions and need the absolute tightest hold to prevent firearm movement.
• Who buys which: Choose Hunthor if your priority is the heaviest-duty fabric construction for everyday abuse; choose GIEESHIELD if your primary concern is the width of the straps keeping guns locked down during bumpy tire maintenance or hunting trips.
The Hunthor Truck Gun Rack is designed for the practical hunter who needs gear that can take a beating without adding unnecessary bulk to the cab. The standout feature here is the use of 900D Oxford fabric. In the world of outdoor equipment, denier counts matter, and 900D represents a thicker, more robust weave compared to many standard alternatives. This material choice suggests a product built to resist scratches, scuffs, and the general wear and tear of being stuffed into a truck bed or dragged across gravel roads. If you are someone who treats their gear with a bit of roughness, this heavier fabric offers peace of mind that the organizer itself won't be the first thing to fail.
Functionally, this rack excels at organization without cluttering your passenger space. The two-pack design allows you to mount two rifles or shotguns behind the front seats, effectively clearing up the back seat or cargo area for passengers and other supplies. The open seat-back design ensures that when you need to access your firearms quickly—perhaps to clear a game or secure a perimeter—you aren't fumbling with complex latches. Additionally, the inclusion of two large storage pockets is a thoughtful touch for organizing pistols, magazines, or small hunting tools like knives and flashlights. You keep everything within arm's reach, yet separated enough to avoid tangling.
However, there are trade-offs to consider before committing. While the fabric is incredibly durable, the strap system relies on standard hook-and-loop fasteners. These work well for most situations, but they may not offer the same level of "locked-in" feel as wider strap systems when driving over extremely jagged terrain. Furthermore, while it fits most pickup trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs, the installation depends entirely on the compatibility of your vehicle's headrests. If you have a vehicle with non-standard headrest posts, the fit might require some adjustment. This product is best for the user who values material strength and clean organization over having the widest possible straps.

The GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set takes a different approach, focusing heavily on the security of the hold and the versatility of the mounting system. The defining characteristic of this rack is its enhanced strap design. The manufacturer explicitly notes the use of wider and larger adjustable hook-and-loop straps. In a vehicle environment where vibrations, sudden stops, and off-road bumps are common, strap width is critical. Wider straps distribute pressure more evenly and provide a larger surface area for friction, which translates to less sliding and bouncing of your firearm. If you drive on dirt roads frequently or engage in activities like tire maintenance where the truck might be tilted or jostled, this wider grip offers a tangible safety advantage.
Material-wise, GIEESHIELD utilizes 600D Oxford cloth with a PVC coating. While the denier count is lower than the Hunthor option, the addition of PVC coating adds a layer of water resistance and structural integrity. This makes the rack resilient against moisture and easier to wipe clean after muddy hunts. The design also emphasizes customization, allowing the wide straps to accommodate various gun sizes and shapes easily. Whether you are carrying a short-barreled shotgun or a long bolt-action rifle, the adjustability ensures a snug fit. The ample storage pockets serve the same purpose as the Hunthor model, keeping pistols and essentials organized, but the overall philosophy here leans toward a secure, adaptable transport solution.
This set is particularly suited for those who prioritize the mechanical security of the mount over the raw thickness of the fabric. The emphasis on "superior stability" suggests it is engineered for users who experience more dynamic driving conditions. However, the slightly lower denier rating means the fabric itself might be marginally less resistant to deep abrasion compared to the 900D alternative. It is a balance between a highly secure locking mechanism and a fabric that is tough but perhaps not as thick. This product is the right choice for the driver who wants a universal fit that feels rock-solid regardless of the vehicle's make or the roughness of the trail.
• Best for material toughness: Hunthor Truck Gun Rack wins here with its 900D Oxford fabric, offering superior resistance to scratches and daily wear compared to the 600D option.
• Best for strap stability: GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set takes the lead with its wider, larger adjustable straps designed specifically to minimize movement and bouncing on rough roads.
• Best for waterproofing: GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set includes a PVC coating on the 600D cloth, providing an extra layer of protection against moisture and mud.
• Best for lightweight portability: Hunthor Truck Gun Rack is noted for being lightweight despite its heavy-duty construction, making it easy to handle during setup.
• Best for quick customization: GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set offers a design that emphasizes easy customization to fit diverse gun shapes and sizes thanks to the broad strap range.
• Best for dual-purpose storage: Both models excel here, but Hunthor highlights its specific large pockets for pistols and small gear alongside the open design for easy rifle access.
• Best for off-road vibration: GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set is likely the safer bet for intense off-roading due to the physics of wider straps holding tighter under stress.
• Best for long-term fabric life: Hunthor Truck Gun Rack appears to have the edge for users concerned with the longevity of the fabric weave itself against sharp objects.
After weighing the specifications and design philosophies of both options, I would personally choose the GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set. While the 900D fabric of the Hunthor is impressive, the primary function of a gun rack is to keep your firearm secure and immobile. The wider straps on the GIEESHIELD unit address the most critical failure point in vehicle-mounted racks: shifting loads. In real-world scenarios involving tire maintenance or navigating rough trails, that extra strap width provides a level of confidence that a thinner strap simply cannot match. I recommend the GIEESHIELD for anyone prioritizing safety and stability above all else.
Yes, the Hunthor Truck Gun Rack uses 900D Oxford fabric, which is thicker and generally more resistant to scratches and abrasion than the 600D PVC-coated cloth used by GIEESHIELD.
The GIEESHIELD set features universal design with adjustable straps that wrap around headrests and seat backs, fitting most pickup trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs with compatible front seats.
Both products include dedicated storage pockets designed to hold pistols, magazines, and other small hunting gear, keeping them organized and accessible.
Based on the design specs, the GIEESHIELD Truck Gun Rack（Set is likely better suited for rough terrain due to its wider, larger adjustable straps that minimize firearm movement.
