Born in 1967, Hunter Eddy grew up in Rutland, Vermont with an aspiration for art from the early days of his childhood. He studied at the Art Institute of Boston and earned the 'Excellence of Illustration" award before graduating in 1990. He later moved to Italy and studied full time at the Florence Academy of Art where he went on to teach classical painting styles. In 2009 he was featured as a finalist for the figure competition in International Artist Magazine for his painting titled "No Secrets". He later received an honorable mention at the Greenhouse Gallery Salon in Texas for a portrait entitled "Ken" and a 'Best in Show' award from Raymar Art Competition. In 2011 he moved back to Vermont where he won 'First Place Award' from the Arts Alive Competition in Burlington for a portrait titled 'Issues'. Furthermore he was featured in the August/September 2012 issue of International Artist Magazine. His works continue to appear throughout galleries and shows in Vermont today.
