Hung Q. Truong

Welcomes!

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Simon Fraser University - Economics Department. My primary research interests are behavioral macroeconomics, experimental macroeconomics, computational economics, and monetary policy.

My research investigates the cognitive and perception frictions in economic agents' understanding of the macroeconomic variables and their effects on the equilibrium and disequilibrium of the economy. Then, I seek to formulate the consequential implications for macroeconomic policies, especially in inflation management. So far, I have relied on laboratory experiments and computerized algorithms to simulate economic dynamics under macroeconomic policy alternatives. I also use survey data to study questions in macroeconomics and household finance.

Updates:

I will present at the CIREQ's 1st Interdisciplinary PhD Student Conference on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence at McGill University, Montreal!
