Hi, my name is Tom Duong. I grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and have recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. Lists of projects that I have done can be listed on Project Pages. Overall, I love studying Mechanical Engineering because I am extremely passionate about designing and applying various mechanical knowledge and machine working principles to solve complex engineering problems. Unlike any other discipline, with mechanical design, I can truly understand how a device physically operates and can integrate parts with components from different fields such as electrical, computer, etc. In my free time, my hobbies include learning French and Japanese, computer programming, electronics (Arduino), designing and playing chess.
I was a valedictorian at Royal Crown Academic School in Toronto in grade 12. One of my proudest moments was standing in front of more than 100 students and teachers and giving a speech. Surreal moment!!! =))
