Welcome to the Human-Centered Engineering laboratory led by Dr. Hy Kim, an assistant professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago. We integrate education and research to make technology work for people. We are exploring new methods to better understand human interaction with emerging technologies such as Extended Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Intelligent Transportation Systems. We aim to transform our understanding of human-technology interaction into the design and evaluation of new systems for human-technology partnerships at future workplaces.
