My work uses a compassionate and contextual approach to explore and find solutions to GBV and cultural customs in South Asia. My most recent study focused on Female Genital Cutting, intersectional feminism and political Islam.

My research interests are interdisciplinary and focus on gender, politics, culture and religion.

My work highlights the contextual significance of cultural practices- and attempts to understand the unique positioning of gender, culture and religion in society.
