The goal was to import individual station files and create a complete assembly. However, several issues arose during the process, which hindered the successful completion of the task.
The provided digital twin MPS station files were supplied in the STEP format. Upon importing each station individually into Siemens NX, the process was successful. Every station was visualized correctly, and all components appeared to be intact.
The primary challenge occurred when attempting to assemble all three stations into a single model. Several components broke during the assembly process, leading to misalignment, missing parts, and unexpected errors.
I spent several hours troubleshooting and attempting to reassemble the stations manually. Despite multiple attempts, the issue persisted. The primary cause of the problem appears to be the naming convention of components across different stations. Specifically, some components from different stations share identical names. When all three stations are imported into Siemens NX simultaneously, parts with duplicate names overwrite each other, causing significant disruptions in the assembly.
