The Mothers’ Union is a Christian organisation attached to the Anglican Church in approx. 78 countries. The branch in Elgin was started in 2001, and now has 20 members with others spread around the Diocese of Moray, Ross & Caithness.
We meet on the 3rd. Wednesday of each month, apart from August & September, at 2pm. in Holy Trinity Church Hall.
We try to invite a good variety of speakers on interesting topics, many of which are relevant to the Mothers' Union commitment to care for families worldwide.
We have occasional services in Inverness Cathedral, usually in September, and we have quiet days in the branch, which allows us to meet with other members from across the Diocese.
Apart from our subscriptions, we raise funds for the work of the Mothers’ Union at home & Worldwide.
Once a year, we have the chance to meet other members from across Scotland at the Provincial Retreat held at Kinnoul Abbey near Perth.
