The 2nd Annual HTe "Costume Creep" Jog-a-Thon will be held on November 2nd and is a large scale effort to fundraise for our school.
We will need support from all of our families so help us get a head start on fundraising and register your kids on PledgeStar today!
We're using an awesome web based fundraising system again this year that makes it EASY for you to request pledges from your family and friends. Check it out!

The Costume Creep will be our largest Fundraiser of the year. Participants earn money by running laps Participants will have 20 minutes to run as many laps as possible around a 1/5th of a mile track. Participants get pledges from family, friends, neighbors or businesses to support their efforts. Donors can make a flat donation in support of our school. All donations are tax deductible!

How do I get Pledges?
Ask friends and family! Register your child at https://pledgestar.com/hightech/and follow the simple registration steps. It takes just minutes to set-up your child’s own fundraising page to request pledges or use the form on the front of the pledge envelope(more forms are available online). When participants request pledges from least 10 people online, they will be eligible for a special prize. Prizes will be given out for requesting donations and raising money!
You can also pick up a PLEGE CARD from the front desk!!
PledgeStar Participation Reward:
- Enter 10 names into the PledgeStar System and you will earn a HTe Sticker, Car Magnet or Window Cling
Class Rewards:
- Top 3 classes that obtain the most pledges (at least $5) get a Pizza Party!
- Top 3 classes that raise the most money get a Donut Party!
- Top class that runs the most laps in each grade-level gets a Popcorn Party!
Individual Rewards (are cumulative):
- Participation in the jog-a-thon gets you an Event T-shirt and Race Bib
- $35 in pledges gets you a mood pencil
- $75 in pledges gets you a lanyard
- $125 in pledges gets you a HTe draw string bag
- $250 in pledges gets you a $20 Corvette Diner gift card
Why are we raising money?
Your support allows the Family Collaborative to continue to fund many of the great programs and events at our school. This year any funds collected will go toward Playground Equipment (see below) and Individual Classroom Projects for our school High Tech Elementary. With your help every child will benefit.
What is the Goal?
This year we would like to raise $30,000. If every participant can raise at least $60 we can achieve our goal!
When do we run?
Friday, November 2, 2018
- 8:30 am - Set-up
- 9:00 am - Families are invited to arrive for the day’s festivities
- 9:30 am - Kinder & 1st - run for 20 min
- 10:00 am - 2nd & 3rd - run for 20 min
- 10:40 am - 4th & 5th run for 20 min
- 11:30 am - Clean up

Where to I pick up my pledge card?
The pledge cards and envelopes are at the front desk or download PDF above.
Who do I make the check out to?
If you have checks, please be sure to write your childs name in the memo area and make it out to High Tech Elementary.
Where can I leave my checks or pledge money?
Funds can be left with Sylvia at the front desk, your teacher or Room Parent. Don't forget to add your child's name in the memo area.
