Reminders and Upcoming Events:
January 25th-31st- Catholic Schools Week!
MONDAY- wear Pierz business apparel. Listen to KLTF from 10:00-11:00. Bring in an item for the food shelf.
TUESDAY- wear red, white, and blue. Alumni will come to do relay races with the students.
WEDNESDAY- dress up as a saint that inspires you. Father Matthew Crane will be coming to visit our class.
THURSDAY- wear HT gear. We will be at the skatin' place!
FRIDAY- dress for Mass. We will have the teachers vs. 6th grade kickball game.
-Monthly reading calendars can be sent back at the end of each month for a prize!
-Please bring in items or money for our carnival basket. Our theme is outdoor sports. I already have a folding wagon to put all of the goodies in. You can also bring in money. Please bring in items or money before March 1st.
-Please return your child's black folder so they can pick out an AR book and start reading that. More information about AR will be sent home in the black folder. Please take some time to read that. It will be similar to the books they were reading previously, but when they return it to school, they will go onto their iPads and take a 5-10 question comprehension quiz on that book. For quarter 3, they will not have a goal to meet, they are just getting used to logging in, searching their book, and taking the test. For quarter 4 they will have a goal to meet.
-Report cards will be sent home early this week. Please take a look at it and let me know if you have any questions!

-Math homelinks are mandatory in first grade.
