I've recently joined Chung-Ang University as an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, since Fall semester of 2025. Before then, I was a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH.
I've obtained Ph.D degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering in POSTECH in Feb. 2025, advised by Prof. Jung Hoon Kim (Control Theory, Robotics and Learning, CTRL lab). In 2024, I visited UC Santa Cruz as a visiting scholar from April to October under Prof. Ricardo G. Sanfelice (Hybrid systems laboratory, HSL).
My current research interest includes: safety control, control barrier function, forward invariance, hybrid dynamical system, data-driven learning for safety. My research vision in the field of control is to develop mathematical techniques for ensuring safety of a control system, combining them with a data-driven learning approach to alleviate the associated computational complexity.

Undergraudate students
There are several positions opened for undergraduate students in CAU to work as a research intern. Please send me an email with your CV if you are interested in working in our lab.
Graduate students
For Master’s and Ph.D. programs, there are no confirmed openings at the moment, but positions may become available for admission in Spring or Fall 2026. I suggest you to discuss with me via email anytime before the admission if you are interested in joining our lab.
