This troll was the post-scratch version of Kankri Vantas. He was raised by The Dolorosa, the post-scratch incarnation of Porrim Maryam. He had such an unusual upbringing because of his mutant blood. Usually, ones with this bright red blood would not be chosen by a lusus and be culled.

While out on an errand, The Dolorosa would found him and recognized he was special. She abandoned her duties to care for the Mother Grub to instead take care of the young grub.

In time, he became to be known as The Signless or The Sufferer.
