Hawkins, Rumker and Ganguddy-Kelgoola Potential Coal Release Areas

MINISTER TO RECOMMEND AGAINST RELEASE OF HAWKINS-RUMKER AREA FOR POTENTIAL NEW COAL DEVELOPMENT

This morning, Paul Toole - the new Minister for Regional NSW after John Barilaro's resignation - said he would be recommending against the opening up of the Hawkins Rumker area for coal exploration and development.

This recommendation by Minister Toole still needs to be signed off by Cabinet, but it's very difficult to imagine that Cabinet would recommend Hawkins Rumker proceeding under these circumstances.
