Thank you again for attending our 3rd meeting! Your presence means so much to the Homeschool Community. If you were not able to join us, here is what you missed, but more importantly; join us in the upcoming months! :)

The "Minute to Win It" games were a blast for the adults and children!!! Allowing time to just have fun and try new silly challenges definitely is good for the body and mind. The feelings of being a valuable team player, victorious, unafraid to have fun was felt by all. Saving the best for last, each person received a small treat bag to take home. We are looking forward to connecting with you more during our "Friendsgiving" topic for the month of November.

Thanks again for attending the Library Scavenger Hunt! Everyone had a great time exploring the library in small groups to find the answers to all the clues. Discovering new items and for rent such as a ukulele, giant timber tower game and located The Makery, Friends of the Library books sale, school curriculum books and the FORT! Following the meeting, some families hung out in the library while taking in more of what the Homewood Public Library has to offer.

Thank you for attending the meet and greet. It was so nice to meet everyone! :)

Thank you for completing the survey! The consensus is, there is a desire for socialization, enrichment activities and a huge population of book lovers and this aligns with the Homeschool Club's mission. Yay!

Here is what's to be expected in the HPL Homeschool Club:

• When: August 2022 through June 2023

• Days: Second Monday of the month

• Time: 1:30pm - 2:30pm

• Where: HPL- Meeting Room

Homeschool Club's Purpose is to connect families who are homeschooling in order to provide families time for socializing, communicating, creating friendships, and respecting each other in a social setting. Homeschool Club activities will allow your child to learn to foster empathy, enhance language skills, discover the concepts of sharing, teamwork and enhance their confidence. All children will need an adult present while participating in the club, this is not a drop off club. There will be a monthly topic to guide our meetups and HPL will send out a reminder for each meetup. It is our goal to create a couple of meetings that are more adult focused. Creating time for adult conversation is needed especially when homeschooling. We will also share resources from word of mouth, internet, library, signage, programs, etc... that will benefit members. Lastly, due to food allergies, we will not be serving snacks.
