Hamilton County Jail Museum

This jail, built in 1938 in the Art-Deco style, was the fourth jail in Hamilton County. The first floor served as living quarters for the sheriff's family while prisoners were housed on the second floor. The jail was used until 1996.

The building is now part of the Hamilton County Historical Museum with additional collections located next door in the "old candle factory" main building and the Farm and Ranch Museum located in the old Smith & Jones Cotton Gin.

The Museum is open Saturdays from 1 - 4 pm.
