Bulman Bridge

Bulman Bridge

The Bulman Bridge was named in honor of Rev. Henry Jefferson Bulman who moved to Hamilton County in 1871. He purchased 640 acres on the Leon River, twelve miles east of Hamilton.

The Bulman Bridge is the longest of the remaining bowstring bridges in Texas and was constructed by the King Bridge Company in 1884. It was originally located on CR 301 east of Hamilton but has been relocated and refurbished to the Pecan Creek Park.
