Our Mission & Vision
Dear Holistic Professionals of Color Association (HPCA) Community,
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the HPCA Charlotte Chapter, dedicated to advancing the mission and goals of our esteemed organization in the vibrant Queen City. At HPCA Charlotte, our commitment is to support, assist, and spotlight holistic health industry professionals while championing equitable research practices and inspiring a future where holistic wellness is a fundamental right, not a privilege, for every community, ensuring equitable access and empowering individuals with the knowledge and resources to thrive holistically.
Our Mission:
The HPCA Charlotte Chapter is on a mission to foster a holistic health narrative that incorporates the voices and experiences of BIPOC communities. We strive to educate "Wellness Warriors" who will, in turn, heal the culture for the culture. To bridge health disparities in underserved communities through holistic, natural, and alternative health and wellness services, fostering health equity across the United States.
Our Goals:
Amplifying Representation: We seek to amplify the representation and advancement of professionals of color in the holistic health sector. Offering training and continuing education opportunities for practitioners of color in the field of holistic health, thereby expanding the availability of culturally competent care providers.
Cultural Preservation: We aim to integrate diverse healing traditions within contemporary health contexts by emphasizing cultural preservation. Providing educational programs aimed at empowering individuals with knowledge about holistic health practices, preventive care, and wellness strategies.
Community Engagement: We are committed to fostering community engagement through strategic partnerships that promote inclusivity and equity. To fund research initiatives focused on holistic health approaches and to advocate for policy changes that support the integration of holistic health practices into standard healthcare models.
Ethical Standards: Upholding ethical standards, we ensure that our practices align with the highest ethical considerations. Establishing and maintaining outreach initiatives that increase awareness of holistic health options, especially targeting communities disproportionately affected by health disparities.
Accessible Practices: We promote accessible holistic health practices, making wellness education and resources available to all. To support a range of holistic health services including, but not limited to, acupuncture, naturopathy, nutritional counseling, herbal medicine, and mindfulness training.
By aligning with the overarching mission of HPCA, the Charlotte Chapter endeavors to contribute meaningfully to the holistic health movement. We invite you to join us on this transformative journey as we work towards a healthier and more inclusive future.
