The HP Zbook studio g9 touchpad doesn't work in WinPE. I am having a tough time finding the drivers. in the device drivers after the machine is imaged the device says that it doesn't need a driver when I try to find what driver it's using. HP is unable to tell me what driver to use either.

I am in the process of getting our MDT image updated, we are using a HP Firefly 15 G7 as our computer for the time being. I am attempting to get the mouse to work within the MDT process, however I cant seem to find which driver is appropriate for this. I have tried importing multiple different drivers from HP's site as well as straight from Synaptics, none of these seem to work.

So I went in and applied the drivers for the HP Firefly to the WinPE image, when I booted back to the MDT process I'm still unable to see the mouse despite using the driver that HP specifies in the Software and Drivers Downloads page = -en/drivers/selfservice/hp-zbook-firefly-15-g7-mobile-workstation/32849625 Opens a new window.

Hi all,

I have since early September an HP Firefly 14 G10 A the version with the Ryzen 7 PRO 7840HS.

Since driver release 23.9.2 I started having problems with AMD software:

the driver automatically installs AMD Software: PRO Edition even though I downloaded the regular drivers and did not choose the Pro version in any way, also tried with the preview drivers getting the same result.

Ok i got it your point but:

-I forgot to specify that I get the Adrenalin software screen, red with all the info written Adrenalin, but with the Radeon Pro options.

-If I try to download and install the real Pro drivers I get error 182, configuration not supported ( -kb182).

-I get the release version of the Adrenalin drivers, the Pro drivers have another release version.

As you see in the screenshot:

Drivers Installed like Adrenaline, but with the Adrenalin interface and Pro Option (actually installed on my Laptop):

I think I get what you're' saying, although it's weird. However they do point to use the OEM drivers instead - probably because they're better optimized for the laptop. Now this tends to suck, depending on the brand as they don't keep up. For example if you look on HP drivers, I don't believe they have prepared a driver recently based on the latest AMD version as their latest is dated Aug 2023. Unless I am on the wrong link.

It'd be interesting to see what you get by uninstalling your current driver and rebooting to let Windows install automatically (native) drivers and see what you get. Then depending on that, doing an upgrade to the latest. I hope you can get it sorted.

The HP Driver Packs contain the Microsoft Windows drivers in .INF-based installation format. This INF installation method can be used standalone or with bare-metal operating system deployment tools that require .INF-based drivers. Select 32-bit or 64-bit to see a list of platforms (notebooks and tablets, workstations, and desktops) and the respective driver packs under the operating system.

I have also tried to manually install the drivers for the fingerprint reader that HP recommends and it does not recognize them, they do not appear in other unknown or hidden drivers in the device manager.

I don't know if it could be a hardware or laptop problem. I have also performed the UEFI diagnosis and it does not recognize the reader.

If your HP ZBook Firefly 14 inch G8 does not recognize the fingerprint reader or other biometric devices, there are several things you can try to troubleshoot the issue. First, make sure that the device drivers for the fingerprint reader are installed and up to date. You can check this by going to the device manager in Windows and looking for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark next to them. If you see the fingerprint reader listed there, right-click on it and select "Update Driver" to see if that resolves the issue.

This package contains the drivers necessary for appropriate Microsoft Windows operating system deployment for supported HP notebook and desktop models.

This package provides the drivers for the integrated and select add-in devices in an INF format.

This format is compatible with bare-metal Operating System deployment tools that require INF based drivers.

hi don't bother to change settings in uefi it is pointless unless you are running dos 6.1 usually after an operating system has booted the UEFI just takes the settings are coming from the operalinsyste drivers and are passed to the hardware!

Earlier this week I was asked to help out with an MDT Lite Touch Driver Repository that was missing most of its drivers. After some research it turned out that the drivers.xml had been truncated, something that can happen if multiple admin are working with drivers at the same time (MDT uses a last-writer-wins approach). Here is how you can troubleshoot that:

When importing drivers to MDT Lite Touch, there are two XML files being updated. The DriverGroups.xml file which contains a list of your virtual folder structure inside Out-of-Box Drivers, together with the GUID of each driver that is linked to each folder, and the Drivers.xml file which contains details about each driver.

If we take a look at the corresponding Drivers.xml file, you find the following info for one of the drivers. Please note the 749ff0d6-dca2-4a6b-a94e-370905fdfd40 guid that is also showing in the DriverGroups.xml file.

If the XML files for drivers gets in a mismatch, simply restore the from your backup. In the very event you don't have a daily backup of your deployment share (which you should have), please note that you may be lucky and find a working copy of your drivers*xml files in the \Backup\Automatic folder.

When installing the latest graphics driver version 31.0.101.4369 for Intel Iris Xe Graphics (gfx_win_101.4369.exe) the attack surface reduction component of Windows Device Security blocked the file "Resources\Extras\piddrv64.sys" according to the rule "Block abuse of in-the-wild exploited vulnerable signed drivers". It seems the file is on the Microsoft block list of dangerous signed drivers.

Note : If you are using the trial version of the product, you will need to update each outdated driver individually. However, using the Pro version, you can update all outdated drivers at once by clicking on the Update All button. Furthermore, this driver updater comes with a money-back guarantee.

1. Turn off the notebook/laptop.

2. Remove the docking station and disconnect all the connected devices.

3. Detach the AC adapter if connected, followed by removing the laptop battery.

4. Now, press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds. This will drain all the charging from the battery.

5. Put the battery back and connect the AC adapter.

6. Turn on the notebook.

7. If you see a startup menu with a list of options select Start Windows Normally and press Enter.

8. Reconnect all the devices and check for Windows Update.

9. Once, it is done update drivers, either using Advanced Driver Updater or can use the HP Assistant.

This should do the trick and the Touchpad should start working.

First you need to download the firmware update for your system. Use your favourite web search engine and search for the model name and add the word downloads to it, for example: HP Elitebook 845 G8 downloads. The first hit will probably bring you to the right page, in my case: -en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-845-g8-notebook-pc/38492638

On the HP downloads page, you will probably get a mssage that it was unable to find drivers for your product. Click on the link Choose a different OS and select any Windows 10 version. Now you will find the latest firmware for your system under BIOS-System Firmware. Click on Download. It will try to let you install a Windows Download and Install Assistant: click on No thanks, I will download and install manually to directly get the firmware file, which should have a name similar to sp138978.exe.

In this post, you will learn about the process of download HP Driver Packs for SCCM. This guide also helps you create HP drivers packages in SCCM. Device driver packs that can be used with ConfigMgr or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.

Here you can get references for all available device drivers in random order. Use the browser Find function (typically CTRL + F) to find specific driver packs.

Click on the Driver Packs link under Windows Version as shown below (for example, HP ProDesk 600 G5). This model contains the drivers for the EliteDesk\ProDesk 400/600/800 G5 series. You can use the same package for all these listed models.

I got a yellow triangle on hp s70 system firmware in device manager so i went to (it is in French) "Assistance clientle HP - Tlchargements de logiciels et pilotes" -fr/drivers then I clicked on show all the drivers and I selected "BIOS-Micrologiciel du systme (1)" and then I downloaded: HP BIOS and System Firmware (S70, S73). It needed restart, I clicked on restart and it went into the Bios 2 times updating many drivers then when it finished it opened normally my pc and I went to the device manager and the yellow triangle disappeared.
