Thanks very much for your message. Yes, I am able to print. The Deskjet is connected via wireless. I have been using "HP Scan and Capture". I have also tried Microsoft's "Fax & scan" and it fails in much the same way. If I connect the PC directly to the Deskjet (I.e. still using wireless but not going via the hub) then I am able to scan and save as hitherto.

Things are getting worse. Now the printer/scanner does not show up in the list of devices at all so I can neither print nor scan. The printer does show up on my wife's PC so, arguably, this is a problem with the PC rather than the printer. Nevertheless if you have any advice to give I would be grateful.

After connecting a scanner to your Mac, use Image Capture to scan images. If your scanner has an automatic document feeder, you can scan several pages at once. If you have a flatbed scanner, you can scan multiple images, straighten any that were placed crooked on the scan bed, and save each image to its own file.

I have attempted to run HP Print & Scan Doctor (V4.9) to resolve the scanning problem. I note that this application when I attempt to run it seems not to complete its routine & can appear to be "working" for more than 20 minutes (I gave up & closed it using Task Manager).

We often receive questions about the logic built into Scan & Capture and how it recognises vendors correctly. The answer is pretty simple. Our solution performs multi-level recognition (logo, name, address, zip code etc.) and utilises auto-learning technology to continually improve accuracy as you scan more transactions.

Scan & Capture has been developed to focus on capturing the most important fields: invoice number, invoice date, due date, line level information. Using OCR and auto-learning technology Scan & Capture provides the suggestions on the information provided on the bill. Users are always able to override any information captured if needed.

Unfortunately, I can only get the scan to work via the IJ Scan Utility, but using Apple's Image Capture (which I'm used to and prefer), I get the infamous "Scanner Reported an Error" message, giving about half a dozen possible reasons, none of which should apply. I tried a restart, just to make sure there wasn't some remnant of when I tested the IJ Scan Utility monopolizing the scanner; and when I brought up Image Capture, I still got the error.

We can only support scanning with our IJ Scan Utility program. However, you need to ensure that the ICA driver is installed in order to be able to use Image Capture with the product. Visit the following link to access the download:

HP Scan and Capture for Windows 10 is straightforward to use. When activated, it scans for devices within the range including wireless printers, scanners, and any devices connected to a local network. You can scan documents or images in, then do some basic editing. Crop images or rotate them before saving them as JPEG files.

Also, you can save text documents as PDF files, either making each scanned page its own PDF or combining several into a multi-page file. You can change the order of scanned pages before combining them. However, it is important to note that it only serves bare-bones scanning utility, with limited control over the final output. It's not a real image editing or document management application, and it isn't meant to be one.

With its fresh update, the interface is now made more user-friendly for much simpler scanning and editing. Automatic device scanning is added, as well. This feature will help you to turn your documents and images into PDFs quickly and easily. As mentioned, you can fully use this program free-of-charge as long as you have an HP scanner or scanner/printer combo.

If you are looking for an HP scanning device on Windows 10, HP Scan and Capture for Windows 10 is a useful tool especially if you own an HP scanner or scanner/printer devices. With this, you will be able to effortlessly scan any of your files in the highest quality output possible. It also offers several editing features, but only the basic ones. Nevertheless, this is still handy to have.

Smart data capture (also known as automated data capture or intelligent data capture) empowers businesses to capture and access real-time data in new ways. It can be deployed into any ecosystem or application, leveraging smartphones, robots, drones and wearables.

Employee expectations have changed. Attract, retain and satisfy workers by giving them the right tools and data for the job. Replace inflexible legacy tools and manual processes for data capture automation.

Hi Otrhan. Thanks for the response. The 3D print is to be the same size. I tried a Reality Scan of the model and when I imported it into Cinema 4D and removed the textures, I could see that the surface of the scan was very bumpy. The artwork is made of pieces of smooth card so I am keen to replicate that. I enquired about getting a professional scan done and was told that the surface of the artwork would need to be sprayed and would therefore destroy the original artwork. I am hoping that Reality Capture might avoid this.

I have a customer that is using workstation as their Laserfiche server. They also scan from it. About twice a week the scan engine changes to Universal Capture. I've tried a repair, clean install of the client/scanning, and removed the scanners attributes. They use ScanConnect with a Fujitus 6130 scanner. I am at a loss on how to get it to stop reverting back to Universal Capture. They are on version 9.

The scan engine is saved in an attribute for that user. The attribute is also named after the specific computer that was used. Check for the [Scanning-WindowsUsername]ScanEngine-ComputerName attribute. After launching Laserfiche Scanning, selecting the scan engine, and saving these settings, the attribute should get created for that user. Confirm that it exists. Then the next time this problem occurs, check again for the existence of that attribute and that the actual data in that attribute still corresponds to the correct scan engine or not.

I have a site where a couple of users suffer this also. It seems to be coincide with an upgrade to Windows 10 but that could only be a coincidence. Every so often (1-2 a month) they are prompted to select a scan mode and/or the scan mode reverts back to Universal Capture.

We have been at 10 for a while and this also happens continuously for us on our scanning workstations. Sometimes I have to delete their complete scanning profiles and eventually on a few occasions we have had to delete all their profile and user accounts after days of trying to get their scanning to work again.

What I found out with one client specifically is that this is tied to the Windows account so if a different person logs into the scan station using their Windows account and then logs into Laserfiche using the scan account - it still will lose the scan settings. I hope this helps!

I would agree. So do we know if there is any way to prevent this from happening? Reason why I ask is we got rid of all the scanners in one department and started using the copier because every time someone would set down to scan with their credentials, their settings would not be there. It was too much of a headache to use a shared workstation. And that's happening more and more for us.

The scan settings are saved in user attributes. Looking at the attribute mentioned previously for the scan engine, can you confirm that the data in the attribute is getting changed or wiped out entirely?

I checked the attributes for this user when the issue was happening and the data referenced universal capture. I changed that whilst logged in as that user (to ScanConnect) and after closing and opening scanning the attribute was updated. When I logged in to troubleshoot the issue there was a dialog on the screen about selecting the scanning mode (basic or standard) which the user quickly dismissed (it was open whilst the scanning application was already running). Not sure if that is significant or not.

Prevent post-scan rework with technology that automatically validates accurate capture. Intelligent Exception Processing immediately identifies missing information, such as a required signature. Intelligent Quality Control automatically flags questionable information for review.

Securely capture and share information across your business. High-quality imaging delivers accurate data for your business applications. Share job setups across the organization to maintain standard indexing and routing rules. You can install Kodak Capture Pro software on local workstations and use it without an internet connection.

Unlike any other data capture software on the market, Kodak Capture Pro works seamlessly with scanners from many other manufacturers, so you can continue to get value from any existing hardware investments.

Kodak Capture Pro is scalable and flexible to grow along with your business. Find the right edition of the software for your business, from desktop scanning to dedicated, high-volume operations. e24fc04721
