Bio
I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Sookmyung Women's University. Before joining here, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Roger at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Epidemiology and Community Health Branch in the United States.
I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Statistics at Seoul National University under the guidance of Professor Junyong Park in 2021, and I received my Bachelor's degree from the Department of Mathematics at Sogang University in 2014.
My research focuses on developing statistical methodologies for various applications. Specifically, I am interested in developing high-dimensional non-parametric estimation methodologies and theoretical studies, as well as multiple-testing procedures, function estimation, and sufficient dimensionality reduction methods. In addition, I am involved in several medical and epidemiologic data analysis projects, including analyzing epidemiologic survival data for heart failure (HF) patients using high-dimensional Proteomics or Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) information. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with experts in diverse fields to explore interesting research topics.
