But it sucks for the following reason, let's suppose that i want to download a dvd that's 8gb +/- for that same dvd i have 20 1fichier links that i need to download and the problem is after you download 1 part you need to wait some time to download another!

Is there a way to save the missing files from a sync? I mean, these sick rate limiting at 1fichier prevents me to upload the smaller files, for example the photos. I have limited time to backup the files there, so now i can upload the bigger files. But when only the smaller files remain, that are still not synced, then i want to save them elsewhere as those probably won't need so big storage, and from there later i can upload to 1fichier.

How To Get Around 1fichier Download Limit

I'm trying this at the moment. Still with a --tpslimit of 0.5 I still get these errors. Somehow the API of 1Fichier is really limit in the amount of calls you can do in a short period, probably to prevent abuse.

I leave the sync for now because it works (besides hitting the limit over and over), but it seems like their API is very strict and more suited for bigger files that take a few minutes to upload instead of pictures that take 2 seconds or some.

I have to see what my exact usage will be the coming month / year and if I will go beyond the 2 TB I might need to look for other solution that don't break the bank. First because of the cold storage limit of 1Fichier and second because of the restore that I might have to do in the future.

So for people that might consider 1Fichier as a back-up or primary (encrypted) cloud storage solution using Rclone. The API is very strict and limited, so uploading and downloading a lot of files in a short amount of time will be limited. If you have not much but very large files, it might be a fine option.

Google: Aint an option anymore.. no unlimited storage

pcloud : Not an option no real unlimited storage

1fichier: Not an option. If you need to fiddle around with scripts to not move files to cold storage, and it does happen, you will have a bad time. (@durval found some shady payment practices going on, so no thanks )

Box.com: Not an option.. Api limitations and filesize limitations on the cheaper business accounts (chunker perhaps?)

Dropbox: Possibly an option. but from what ive heard here they are reluctant to increase storage for quite a few people.

LayerOnline: same as dropbox, but with the added issue that they setup a group account instead of you just owning 3 accounts.

Jottacloud: Not an option. Upload speeds will be down to dialup speeds when you are above 20-50 tb

Sync.com: not usable through rclone (api not publicly available

Backblaze: too expensive for high data storage usages

Please note that the Business Pro plan is suitable for syncing files and shares, not for large backup processes. pCloud does not limit the number or size of the files, nor the upload and download speed.

Note: Unlimited storage is unlocked at the end of the free trial period.

It's interesting to note that the text you quoted says it's "not [suitable] for large backup processes" but does not say why. And the very next phrase ("pCloud does not limit [...]") seems to indicate exactly the opposite.

I investigated 1fichier yesterday and what put me off was their "shady" payment options: no PayPal nor credit cards, they only take wire transfers (which would result in a large fee from my bank) and cryptocurrency payments (and impose large fees on the latter) or link to even shadier "resellers", and only one of them takes PayPal (also with a large fee).

Although this does make me think, that your 90 day rule might be a hard and fast rule, BUT that the 90 day limit is PER user, so adding more users means the new users have their own brand new 90 day limit. Time to beg dropbox support (and set up a dropbox, and a vps oof I hate having to set new things up I am so inept.

but I have transferred data from gdrive to dropbox 24/7 and reached from two servers the 24hours rolling limit of 10 TB downloaded

normally I've also no problems

it was just in the migration time

However, for a few months, my downloads are blocked at 100 KB/s every time I download a file on 1fichier.com. The speed is good (around 3 or 4 MB/s) on all other download sites; it only happens when I download from 1fichier.com.

OK since I didn't have another PC, I've created a live USB of Linux Mint, booted from it, imported the Mullvad config file into NetworkManager, and tried to download a file on 1Fichier. The result is the same: the download speed was limited to 100 KB/s.

It very much sounds like a quota from 1fichier - afaiu this is a sharehoster that allows everyone to download slowly, but you need an account for full speed?

The latter might internally be tied to the IP, but this is not reflected in their speedtest - which is probably also the only thing the mullvad check (absent an account)

Since they only offer 10GB test files and most of them stopped working I have uploaded a 1 GB test file for download. You will see some ads before downloading (most likely some pop-up) but "For testing our services we will not limit your download speed" works every 24h when you access any download link by 1Fichier which makes sharing your files with friends more comfortable as they wont need a premium account of any sort to dl at full speed.

The cool thing is even if you switch back to Free Account Status (like I am atm) your files acctually stay alive in your dashboard and the respective download links forever if you have been Premium Account before. My 100GB Test file has yet to be removed and so has the other one. This will still let you dl all your uploaded files without dl speed limits once every 24h by using their "Free Trial of our Services" where they dont limit your speeds :P

The service hosts your files in data centers located in the Netherlands and in France. 1fichier suggests you can rely on the service for housing backups as it keeps the files on RAID systems with multiple spares.

Furthermore, unlike many of its peers, 1fichier not only supports but encourages the use of FTP for transferring files to your account. FTP also comes with additional benefits such as resuming interrupted uploads. We also appreciate the fact that unlike many of its peers, 1fichier also supports remote uploads.

1fichier is a decent file hosting and sharing service. It offers one of the best price-storage ratios and has a healthy number of useful features. The support for FTP is particularly useful for transferring files to your account with the service. In terms of downloads, we really like the option to convert files into inline files that can be streamed directly into apps.

For a long time, the debate revolved around the question of whether the Minister's action should considered as relating to a contract or to tort under European jurisdiction rules (Brussels Convention, and subsequently, Brussels I and Brussels I bis Regulations). Thus, in numerous disputes, the companies being prosecuted have argued a contractual qualification, invoking the jurisdiction of the courts of the state in which they are domiciled or invoking the clauses of the disputed contract designating a foreign or arbitral jurisdiction against the Minister. On the other hand, the Minister, not being a party to the contract, argued that his action was necessarily in tort.

The Court considers that the Laboratories' discourse to public authorities did not exceed the limits of freedom of expression, and was not of a nature to exaggerate the perception of risks associated with the use of Avastin, since it:

These conclusions only apply to cases in which the marketplace operator offers products sold in its own name and on its own account in addition to products offered by third parties, and therefore have limited impact. However, this decision should allow trademark holders to act against marketplaces directly, rather than having to identify each infringing practice, and its perpetrators, on the said platforms.

A French hosting service provider offers content storage services, which its clients may use from its website 1fichier.com. In order to make its services payable, the service provider has signed a contract covering payment services with one of the main French banks in January 2013.

In addition, the judge underlined the limits of its authority in the context of an action brought on the basis of the French law on corporate duty of care. While the judge ruling in summary proceedings may order the company to draw up, publish or effectively implement a due diligence plan, he may not assess the reasonableness of the measures adopted by the plan, "when such an assessment requires an in-depth examination of the elements of the case, which is within the sole power of the judge on the merits".

Associations and professionals have multiplied the number of procedural incidents regarding the statute of limitations, the conditions required, the presentation of individual cases and the factual and legal arguments, and requests for a provision or the communication of documents. These issues alone illustrate an uncertain scope of application and an excessive complexity of the French class action mechanism. 17dc91bb1f
