Zinio claims they don't offer any .pdf versions of their magazines, but there's some documentation that proves they do... plus an application for getting rid of the DRM associated with the .pdf files.

The library must subscribe to individual magazines, which have various subscription prices, so not all Zinio magazines are purchased by the library. Additionally, some magazine publishers do not allow Zinio to offer their titles for sale and do not allow libraries to make these available through Zinio.

How To Download Zinio Magazines As Pdf

Download File 🔥 https://tlniurl.com/2y4AN0 🔥

Click (or tap) on "Create New Account".

Browse through the titles or click on the All Genres drop down menu inthe upper right to see specific categories.

Click on the cover of the magazine you would like to check out and then click on the Checkout button.

We recommend that you do not check the "email me when the next issue is available" box to avoid unwanted emails. (Zinio is also a commercial service and they would like to try to get you to buy subscriptions.)

You can now choose to continue browsing the magazines or start reading the issue you just checked out.

Using a smartphone or tablet:

If you would like to use your smartphone or tablet you will first need to download the Zinio for Libraries app. After the app is downloaded, you will need to activate and log in the app. When logging in on the app you will be directed to choose your country, state and library (choose The Library Network for your library). Then you will log in with your email and password. You can only read magazines currently checked out, you cannot check out additional magazines on the app.

Checkouts are done in your browser so you will need to toggle back to your browser and visit to view magazines available for checkout. Make sure you log in if you're not already.

Modoc County Library patrons may access Zinio/RBdigital Magazine Online Collection for Libraries, which offers full-color digital magazines for anytime, anywhere reading on desktops, mobile devices, and apps. Your library's collection of popular digital magazines includes both new and backlist titles with no holds, no checkout periods, and no limits.

Zinio is a leading online publisher and distributor of digital magazines and other publications, delivering over 20 million magazine issues to over 3.5 million readers each year. Their delivery platform makes it possible for readers to easily search the content of magazines and other publications, providing a richer reading experience, and real-time, accurate usage statistics for publishers.

I checked my order confirmation email from finescale, and it mentions I should receive email correspondence from Zinio with instructions about accessing the digital magazines. I've been waiting since the January 20th and nothing. I suppose I am to wait until the newest digital print comes out? Silly if true.

THE TRICK: If you go directly to Zinio.com, you have to pay to subscribe to the magazines! The trick is to access Zinio through your local library to download your magazine subscriptions for free.

What you need: A tablet, smartphone, or computer to access recent and archived digital magazines through your library. Oh, you will also need to sign up for a library card and download the Zinio app.

Thanks for highlighting this awesome feature that many public libraries now offer including Vancouver and Burnaby Public Libraries. Another downside in addition to avoid being duped into paying for subscriptions is these magazines take up a lot of space on your device! I find I can really only download 1-2 at a time before needing to free up space.

Thanks for sharing this great resource! My only problem is that I have a Nook HD+ which does not support Adobe Flash to be able to view the magazines. (Unless someone knows a way to get around this??) But at least I can view it on my home pc for free.

Not bad, considering many of the magazines cost $4.99 for a single issue, such as T3, Car and Driver, PC Gamer, Rolling Stone, Esquire and National Geographic. Some magazines cost less -- such as $3.99 per issue for Cosmo, Us Weekly, Wine Access and TV Guide -- but $5 a month for three magazines is still a deal.

Called "Z-pass," you can select which three magazines you want and change them up each month, if desired. You don't need to commit for a certain amount of time to get the deal, and the first month is free. You can access your Zinio magazines on virtually all smartphones, tablets and computers (we reviewed the app on an iPad mini). Magazines are downloaded to read offline, so you're fine if there's no Internet connection when you want to read (such as on an airplane).

Other benefits to digital magazines: access magazines from around the world; you can shop 24/7 and in your pajamas, if you like; enlarge or shrink the text and font with a simple pinch or tap; share your favorite articles with friends (via email or social media); easily bookmark where you left off (no more bending the corner); and virtual clipping, perhaps if you're curating a collection of recipes or favorite travel destinations.

The interface is clean and easy to swipe through. The "Explore" tab lets you read the free content of the day; "Read" is to flip through your selected magazines cover to cover; and "Shop" lets you browse, search (keywords) and buy new mags.

The so-called first mover advantage is really only an advantage if you don't get too far out ahead of your customer. Founded in 2001, the digital magazines company Zinio was arguably a good eight years ahead of its time. After all, Apple hadn't yet come out with the iPhone, much less the iPad, the technology that would finally sell the average reader on the idea of a magazine consisting only of pixels.

Zinio's answer to that demand is a new offering called Z-Pass. For $5 a month, a customer receives her choice of three magazines from a catalog of more than 300. Subscribers can swap titles in and out as they choose and add more to the plan for $1.50 each, although some premium magazines, such as the Economist, cost more.

Zinio president Michelle Bottomley says Z-Pass grew out of a round of consumer research the company did last fall. "We asked them what they thought would make it easier to read more digital magazines," she says. "One of the things we noticed is that price per unit was a big barrier."

Lewis says Zinio's program offers the right level of abundance. "With all the digital content out there, how many magazines can you actually read?" he says. "Three magazines felt like something that would be sustainable over the long pull."

Editing Note: In response to an appeal by Quiosk.com president and CEO Dan Schwartz, whose comment appears below, I've changed "first" to "early" in both the headline and the body of this story. I didn't change "first-mover advantage" in the first sentence because "early-mover advantage" isn't a common expression. With that expression in mind, in my original version of the story, I used "first" somewhat loosely -- ie. that Zinio, as one of the first companies to sell digital magazines, might have been expected to enjoy a first-mover advantage. Schwartz's objection made it clear that distinction was more in my mind than on the page, so I've edited this post accordingly.

Yes. If you previously borrowed ZINIO magazines from RBdigital, you will be able to access your historical magazine loans by either downloading the free ZINIO app or going to zinio.com. From the ZINIO app or website, you can register a new ZINIO account using the same email address you used to access RBdigital. Once registered, your previously borrowed ZINIO magazine loans will be available in your account.

The Zinio app is free and available in the App Store (on both the iPhone and iPad). Here is a link to the Zinio website where you can check all the magazines they have available with their prices. [Link]

Wow thanks for the info!!! Nothing beats flipping through a real magazine, but this is excellent plus saves paper! The censoring and obscene shipping prices have put me off magazines for a very long time now

Digital magazines are a terrific complement alongside eBook offerings. If a library user is already reading books on their tablet, it is likely they will also enjoy reading digital magazines. Zinio and Recorded Books partnered to offer digital magazines to libraries. They provide access to thousands of publications with multi-user access, including some interactive content with video and sound. There are no waiting lists, no due dates, and readers can keep the magazines on their device as long as they choose.

Setting up Zinio was as easy as setting up any other online resource from a vendor. We purchased a package that included our choice of titles. Each title had a price similar to an annual subscription, and we simply made a list of titles until the total cost matched the package price. The selection of magazines is excellent and includes many foreign language titles. Some popular titles are not available because those publishers prefer not to share their content with Zinio or library users. Technical support has been timely and helpful.

We are pleased with the platform. Reading the magazines on a computer or through the app is easy and intuitive. The photos are clear, and it is easy to zoom in to read sections of the pages. Some magazines also offer enhanced content such as video, sound or extra photos that add to the user experience, and some magazines also allow pages to be printed. Offering digital magazines is a good complement to our current print magazine collection. Some magazines that are no longer available in print are available digitally through Zinio, and duplication of popular titles between print and digital provides greater access.

As Zinio and Recorded Books move forward with this resource, on our wish list is the ability to have more control customizing the library landing page and email alerts to the users, a streamlined checkout and download process, compatibility with more devices and a greater selection of popular magazines. Overall, we are pleased with the product, our package is a good value, and our patrons have expressed positive feedback. e24fc04721
