Without the complete address we are not able to check whether the institution has access to the IELTS Test Report Form Verification Service that allows it to view your results after we have submitted them electronically. In case they do not access this service, we will send your TRF by post.

If you want us to send another copy of your TRF to a recognising organisation in addition to the five copies we provide, you will need to pay an administration fee of SAR 69 per copy to send it via airmail or SAR 184 per copy to send to international destinations via courier. This process applies to both paper-based and computer-delivered IELTS.

Whether you have taken paper-based or computer-delivered IELTS, organisations will usually not accept your results if they are more than two years old, unless you provide evidence that you have actively maintained or tried to improve your English since taking the test. The IELTS Partners cannot confirm the validity of test results that are more than two years old.

You can submit an Enquiry on Results online from the Test Taker Portal. Alternatively, you can download the Enquiry on Results Form from the download section below and submit it to the test centre where you sat the test. Make sure you attach your proof of payment.

Please note that your score is unlikely to increase unless you make a significant effort to improve your English before re-taking the test. Visit the preparation section to take a practice test and assess your level.

Official IELTS scores can be received by SOPHAS at any point during the application cycle, even after your application is submitted; however, some programs may have a deadline by which they want your scores posted. Once your official IELTS scores are attached to your application, they cannot be removed.

Note: if your name or date of birth appears differently on your IELTS than it does on your SOPHAS application, your scores will not automatically post to your account. This often happens with applicants with hyphens, apostrophes, etc., in their names. Wait until IELTS processes the scores, then contact customer service so they can manually connect the scores to your application.

If you've just taken the IELTS, you're probably anxious to see your scores. Did you do as well as you needed to do on this tricky English proficiency exam or not? When will you get your official IELTS score report, and when will you be able to see your IELTS results online?

You'll be able to see your IELTS results online 13 days after taking the paper IELTS or 5-7 days after taking the computer-delivered IELTS. Your testing organization should notify you when your scores are ready to be viewed.

Where you must go to see your IELTS results depends on which website you registered through, as these vary with each country. For example, if you took the IELTS in the US, you would have to log in to the IELTS USA website with the account you made back when you registered. If you took the IELTS in Australia, you'd go to IELTS Essentials.

To access your IELTS results online, you'll need to know the ID/passport number you used when you registered and your test date. Your IELTS results will be available to view online for 28 days.

Around the time you get your online scores, your official IELTS score report will also be sent to you via postal mail from your test center. This hard copy version of your IELTS results is called the Test Report Form (TRF). Your TRF will be mailed to the address you wrote down during registration, so be sure that this address is correct.

In the US, you can send up to five IELTS score reports for free (although you might have to pay a small fee if you're sending them to places outside the US). Once your official IELTS test results have been released, your score reports will be automatically sent out to any institutions or organizations you indicated during registration.

When you choose to send out your score report, you'll get the option to choose a score delivery method: electronic or paper. Check the official websites of your schools/organizations to find out which method they prefer (if there is one).

So if you scored 7 on Listening, 6.5 on Reading, 6 on Writing, and 7.5 on Speaking, your total IELTS band score would be (7 + 6.5 + 6 + 7.5) / 4 = 6.75 = 7 (rounded up). Your final IELTS score would be 7, indicating that you are a "good user" of English.

The first thing you'll want to do is look at your overall band score. See whether you got the score you were aiming for and compare it with the chart above to determine what your general English skill level is.

Next, you'll need to check that your score is high enough for the schools/universities you are applying to (assuming you took the Academic IELTS). To do this, you'll have to check each school's official website and look at its policy on English proficiency and minimum required IELTS scores.

Now, look for the highest minimum IELTS in your chart: this is the IELTS score you'll need to be eligible for admission to all your schools. In this case, you'd need to have at least a 6.5 band score to get admitted to UW, MSU, and MSN (though with a 6.0, you could get admitted to UW and get conditionally admitted to both MSU and UMN).

So even though there's no overall "passing" score on the IELTS, you must make sure that the score you get is ultimately good enough for your schools. If it's not, you can always retake the IELTS and hopefully earn a higher score!

If English is not your first language (i.e. is not the first language you learned at home as a child), you will need to provide evidence of adequate English facility for admission consideration, unless you qualify for an exemption.

If you are required to present evidence of English language facility, you can satisfy the requirement by completing one of the tests/qualifications listed below with acceptable results. We will not accept your Grade 12 English results, your results in any other English course/test, or letters of reference from your school or employer for this purpose.

We strongly advise you to complete your test and submit your scores to us well in advance of published deadlines. It may take several weeks from the time your test results are released until they reach University Admissions and Outreach.

Be sure that you register for a test using the same first (given), surname (last/family name), date of birth, and gender as on your application for admission. We cannot match your results to your application if this information differs.

Please note that this list is for information only. Your eligibility for an exemption will be determined after you have submitted your application for admission and relevant supporting documents like your transcripts.

If you are unable to begin your degree studies in the fall, you may request a one-year deferral of your offer of admission. Deferrals are not guaranteed and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Check out further information on deferring an offer of admission. e24fc04721
