I am not able to log in to yahoo messenger. I had the problem for several months on my iPhone 4S and now on my iPhone 5S I'm experiencing the identical problem. I am using ios 8.0. I get a message "Sign in problem, Unable to login right now, please try again later." I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. I have no problem logging onto PC yahoo messenger version. The ap looks like it will log on when I first access it and then it fails to that error message. The rating for yahoo messenger in the ap store is terrible so I suspect this is a systemic problem.

The only way I was able to make this work was to Download BOTH the Yahoo Mail APP and Messenger... First log into Mail... and THEN log in to Messenger... which is silly but I figure it has something to do with messenger now being integrated with Mail online now but the apps remain separate. Wow. I thought it was just me. OK so no yahoo messenger app at all for iPhones? Now this makes sense. I do get messages via text on my phone, through messenger. But when I respond, the other person does not receive it AND those messages are nowhere to be found when I log in to Messenger pin my laptop. Any ideas if/how I can respond on my phone and how i could see those conversations on my laptop? TIA!

What i did was a reverse dns lookup and found out the dns, in april 2019 they changed the ip for that dns to another one and it is still active in 2021, the dns is working sometimes and you can reach it, the problem is that i tried changing those supernodes with a hex editor on 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, deobfuscated version but yahoo messenger just ignores that ip, i think it is because it is not the same size as 162.747.84.174 but it is shorter so you gotta move the entire ip database a bit to make it fit, if you think that you are able to help with this then you can

I hope that you can help me. For two days now I haven't been able to get into my yahoo email account. I can get into my yahoo messenger with a problem. I click on the tab (envelope) in my messenger to go to my mail and it asks me to sign in...never did that before. I do go to sign in and it keeps asking me for my password which hasn't changed in a few months. I tried to get into my mail via another computer and was successful. Everytime I try to get into my email on this computer I keep getting kicked back to the sign in screen to re enter my password. I have even tried to just go straight from the yahoo website and sign in there and it kicks me back to the main website without even trying to go to my mail. I uploaded internet explorer 7.0 yesterday to see if that was the problem but it is still the same problem. My husband also has a yahoo mail account and his was doing the same thing. He even went as far as to change his password but it still kicked him back to the main (homepage) website to "check mail". I hope that you can help or at least point me in the right direction to fix this. I can get on other websites no problem. Just yahoo mail is the issue here. I am not sure i understood what is meant by between Small Window and Tab in Yahoo. What do you have to do? How do you do it? Ctrl +F5 is not solving the problem. i managed to open a new window and in new tab..messenger options just does not work when i click on it...in new window it signed me out of chat and i have normal yahoo mail..but with no messenger options listed...still have the same problem when i leave page & then go back into mail.

It could be a joke program, which are harmless except for the annoyance factor. Do you have any instant messenger clients installed (ie AIM, Yahoo! IM, MSN, ICQ etc)? I would tend to agree that it sounds like a sound coming from an IM client that's running in the background. If it is, you should be able to turn the sound off in the IM client's settings.

As described in first article, to get the contents from the Messenger window what we are doing is we are iterating through all the top level windows in Windows OS and checking if its desired Messenger window, if its the desired window then we are iterating through its child windows to get the HWND of the window that contains chat text. Once we get the handle to the window, we can use our code to retrieve the conversation text. Except the last step of getting text from conversation window handle, all the steps remain same for both MSN and Yahoo messengers. In MSN messenger we used the Windows clipboard to copy text from the MSN window and pasting this on our application.
