We took on a new client recently and one of the things they want to do initially is migrate from Godaddy to regular purchased O365 accounts as they are unhappy with Godaddy. They have around twenty existing accounts to migrate. Is there a tool that anyone has used successfully to do this migration? We are prepped to create and upload PST files since it's only 20 of them but if there is a better method I haven't been able to find I'd love to get some direction.

well no I will delete my website on godaddy and create a new one on Webflow, so basically I wanna end all my relationship with godaddy ( will keep just the domains ) and move on with webflow, I was just looking for a way out to find the best solution.

working with wordpress after years and using godaddy for my clients I am so glad that I have met with Webflow, it changed all my view and ability for web-design, I am really looking forward to be party of this community !

You could scrape your site off of webflow hosting with CMS content and then upload that as an alternative. There is are reference in the forums to a OS X tool called sitesucker. I have used that to rescue a new client from a locked out account (designer died and had the keys).

While working on your new Squarespace site, you can avoid having two live sites by keeping your in-progress site private. Add a site password to prevent it from appearing in search results. After your new site is complete, you can transfer or connect your domain to transition visitors over, then cancel service with GoDaddy and publish your new site.

If you have a domain registered with GoDaddy, transfer it to Squarespace. This way, you can manage all aspects of your site from one service instead of two, and we can help with any issues with your domain directly.

Squarespace provides website hosting and, if you transferred or registered a domain with us, domain hosting. After your Squarespace site is online and you've moved over or recreated any content from your old site, you can cancel service with GoDaddy.

The 4 values you got from Route53 are name servers - they provide the location of where your records are stored (i.e. with Route53). In Route53, you need to have your actual A records. Previously, you (presumably) had one or more A records with GoDaddy which pointed to the elastic IP address of your EC2 instance, now, you need to recreate the same records in Route53 so that a lookup pointed to Route53 (which will be your new nameserver once the change propagates) will return the same record set that you previously had with GoDaddy.

In order to move from GoDaddy to AWS, you can a) just move your code to AWS (if you have a static website, move it to S3 instead of EC2), and point your GoDaddy DNS records at your new host (e.g. your EC2 instance's IP address). In EC2, your instance's IP address will change when the instance reboots, etc. As such it is a dynamic IP address, not well suited for hosting a website. Instead, you need to allocate a static IP address, once that can be assigned to an instance - AWS call this an 'Elastic IP'. This is what you will use for your A record. (The same holds true whether you use GoDaddy's DNS or Route53 - you need an A record that points to the IP address of your server - but there is no requirement to use Route53 just because you are using AWS to host your site - there are some exceptions - e.g. using an elastic load balancer).

My website is hosted by godaddy and servers were updated summers there for 15 days and my form are no longer work, which put me in a very problematic position. I'm a graphic designer not a coder, hence my difficulty changed the code.

I had the godaddy technical service and he gave it to me I think part of the solution. I found the place to change the code, but I can not seem to fit, I'm testing, I no further error messages but I do not receive any email I send.

Transferring a domain from GoDaddy to Nexcess is a straightforward process that you can complete by following the guidance provided. Furthermore, the friendly staff at Nexcess may always be contacted if you encounter any programs on your domain transfer.

If you have enabled GoDaddy privacy protection plan, remember to disable it before submitting the transfer request. By disabling the WHOIS Privacy Protection your domain's contact information will be visible to the public. A domain transfer from GoDaddy will require that this step be taken.

For example, if you are transferring from GoDaddy and have been using their nameservers, your previous records may get deleted upon canceling their service, and your domain will stop working. Hence, we strongly recommend you create a DNS zone in Nexcess Client Portal and add the necessary records. Completing this step will prevent/reduce any downtime during transfer.

To transfer your domain from GoDaddy to Nexcess, you need an auth code or the EPP code. This code can be obtained from the GoDaddy Portal. This code ensures that an unauthorized person does not transfer your domain.

1. Unlock your domain name from GoDaddy. Log in to your GoDaddy account via the GoDaddy Login page. Navigate to domains by clicking the Advanced button on the top left: > My Domains > Manage All

To open a ticket from your Nexcess Client Portal, click New Ticket with Our Support Team. The following help articles can assist you with different aspects of the domain transfer process:

If you are currently not a Nexcess client but would like to inquire about our hosting services, please get in touch with our sales team, available from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time (ET), Monday to Friday. You may also review our list of services and cloud hosting options with details relating to plans and pricing. Or, take a look at our hosting plans to get started today.

For cases where the 60-day lock has already been placed on a domain name, GoDaddy provides a special process to remove this lock. Contact GoDaddy's Review 60 department at review60@godaddy.com to have them review the case and remove the lock, if possible.

If you have two-step verification enabled for your GoDaddy account, you will need to enter the code from SMS or your authenticator app. Otherwise, enter the one-time password sent from GoDaddy to your registrant email address.

Transferring a domain from one registrar to another is easy If you follow the process correctly otherwise you face the risk of huge downtimes like 5 to 7 days. Additionally, choosing the right registrar for your needs is equally important in the long run. With these 5 steps you can easily migrate from one registrar to another fast and efficiently.

I have bought a domain via godaddy and added it to my netlify site as custom domain but it says 'Awaiting external DNS". The custom domain loads the website correctly sometimes and sometimes it shows this error:

Also, I have bought 6 professional emails from godaddy to use with this website (name@xyz.com) but the godaddy page asks me to change DNS settings, which i am not able to change on godaddy since i have changed nameservers to netlify. How do i fix this?

If you still have the WordPress files and database from Godaddy, please also try the WordPress standard migration methods suggested in our Migration Documentation. And, do try the standard migration method in other servers as well.

Choose to Continue and Entri will analyze your domain. This process should automatically identify your domain registrar and prompt you to sign in. If it doesn't, you will need to select your provider, or the domain registrar that you have purchased your domain name from.

Occasionally, something may happen to prevent your SSL from properly setting, or you may receive a 1001 error message when you try to load your site. If this happens, don't worry! We've got your back. Reach out to the Showit Support Team and request that they set your SSL or clear that 1001 error for you.

Migration of DNS service from GoDaddy to Azure DNS

Plan of Action (POA):

I understand that you would like to migrate your DNS name servers from GoDaddy to Azure DNS. Currently your DNS delegation is with GoDaddy but you would like to move it between GoDaddy and Azure DNS. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Azure DNS allows you to host a DNS zone and manage the DNS records for a domain in Azure. In order for DNS queries for a domain to reach Azure DNS, the domain has to be delegated to Azure DNS from the parent domain. Keep in mind Azure DNS isn't the domain registrar.

If my understanding is correct, then you need to follow the below steps:

I have a separate email/website/hubspot setup under a godaddy "workspace" email account and have never had an issue and currently am forwarding the webforms to that account via duplication to ensure they are not being missed by my sales team.

Hi @TiphaineCuisset no wasnt in the filtered section, i was able to figure it out. It resolved after i unchecked process subsequent rules in godaddys settings where you input the forwarding email. Interestingly for some reason before i found this fix facebook messages stopped turning up in my inbox also and i had to delete and remake that channelto get them to start pulling through again.

I'm also wondering if those emails are maybe filtered. You have more information here. Basically if there are specific filtering rules added, or for example if the filtering for role based emails is enabled and these emails are coming from these types of address, that could be the reason why. Those emails would be found in the "Filtered" section in your inbox.

The most common migration we do at BEMO is moving customers from GoDaddy to Office 365. We know the masses can't be migrating just because we are really good at them (we are). So, why are so many businesses moving from GoDaddy? Often, the story goes a little like this: you searched the web and found GoDaddy domains, then signed up for one, they offered email and you thought...why not?! Now, months or years later, the confinements of their locked in contracts and worse yet, their locked down capabilities (read: restricted global admin privileges) for Office are restricting your company's growth. And GoDaddy customer support? Let's just say it's lacking. Thankfully, there's an easy solution: migrate. While a migration is a hearty endeavor, it's definitely doable with some preparation and lucky for you, we've done all the prep you'll need. Read along as we take you step-by-step through your migration from GoDaddy and into the full potential of Office 365. ff782bc1db
