I can see live feed from camera with no problem. The Alexa app is setup right to get alerts when someone rings the doorbell, but there is nothing on echo show when I ring the doorbell. Contacted the support got no where. Looked up some cases online tried few things with still no luck.

same issue here, my echo show will play the notification sound when the ring door bell is pressed, however no video is playing automatically, meanwhile all other devices such as iphone, ipad can receive the notifications as well.

When using an Echo Show to view Ring cameras the view times out and goes back to the echo home screen after about 10 minutes. Can anyone think of a way of keeping the Echo Show displaying the Ring camera feed all the time? If not, do you have any nice ideas for a small stylish device to sit in a living room to act as a CCTV monitor for a Ring camera? I'm looking for something about 10" in size.

At our house, we have one Google home but we all prefer the echo. Right now it does much more in terms of home automation and the far Field voice recognition is better from across the room. And we use a lot of the features that are not yet available on Google. but both are good systems.

So the Ring response is slow but I love the Whole House Audio, Drop In, Announce, Alexa Routines, Room Awareness, Voice Recognition, Echo Sub and Stereo Pairing and many other features that have been added over the years.

If smartthings DID integrate with nest, i could have fun stuff happen like facial recognition triggering the smart lock to open. But thats is a moot point because ring does not have that feature, only nest does.

Now that you have your Ring Doorbell connected to your Amazon Echo Show, you can immediately begin monitoring your home through your Alexa smart devices. There are a few cool things you can do once it's all set up.

Your Amazon Echo Show devices will automatically show footage from any Ring Video Doorbell when the button is pressed. You can narrow this down to specific devices if you wish to keep notifications tidier. Alexa will announce that someone is at your door, using the label you set up for that particular Ring Doorbell. This lets you know which exact door your visitor is at.

Sometimes, you don't want to answer the door, but you still want to know who's there. If that's the case, you can say the command, "Alexa, show my front door" or "Alexa, show the front door camera" to get a live video without enabling your microphone. To end the feed, say "Alexa, stop," "Alexa, hide my front door," or "Alexa, hide the front door camera." And with a new update to Fire TV, you can view a live feed of your Ring camera in picture-in-picture mode on your TV!

Once you subscribe to Virtual Security Guard, you can enroll individual cameras in the program through the Ring app. If a motion event occurs, an alert is sent to the professional monitoring team who will then review any footage recorded for that event.

If something awry is detected, that third-party monitoring team can bring up the live footage of your cameras and use the two-way audio to warn a potential intruder that the authorities are on the way. This includes a Ring Video Doorbell, as that would be classified as an outdoor camera.

Alexa is ready to show and tell

With the Amazon Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen), you can see who's coming and going without shaking a leg or lifting a finger. Its display shows a live view of your front door, so you can engage or dismiss your visitors without even opening the door. Plus, Alexa has tons of other skills compatible with many of the most popular smart home products on the market.

I am also concerned, but unsure, that by doing this I have adversly affected the connection between the router and the satellites as that seems to be only 5G. But the backhaul status of the two satellite connections is shown as being "good" even with the 5G signal reduced to 25% so maybe reducing the 5G signal to 25% does not impact the router to satellite connections? Does anyone know the answer to that?

We got an Arlo doorbell and camera in Dec. 2021. We set up a main account for me and a secondary account for my husband. We had the notification settings set up differently for each of us. We also set up the Arlo to "chime" on our Alexa-enabled devices (Echo Show, Echo dots) when the doorbell was pressed WITHOUT ringing our phones. I do not want my phone to ring every time someone (delivery driver, etc) rings the bell - the package alert setting was fine for that. We charged the Arlo doorbell last week and now can't get this system to work anymore. Our notification settings mirror each other (if one of us changes, it changes on both of our phones) and we can only get the chime on the Alexa devices if the phones ring. Silent mode silences everything. Turning silence mode off makes everything (phone and Alexa) active. We enjoyed the devices up until last week and just want to have it function the same way again. Can anyone help?

We are running iOs 15.4.1 and the Arlo app is version 3.6.4 (3405). I am the main account and I granted access to my husband (different email). Both of these accounts are now mirroring each other - meaning that if I turn on silent mode on my phone, his phone also goes to silent mode. This was not the case previously, as he always had his on silent (he is in a job where he can't have notifications all the time) and I never did.

Previously, we had it set so that the doorbell press rang our Alexa devices in the home, but not our phones. I also had badge notifications for the doorbell and camera on my phone, but my husband did not. Now, if the doorbell is pressed, our phones both ring. If I activate silent mode, nothing rings on the Alexa or either of the phones.

The problem continues. If I have Silent Mode OFF, then we both receive phone calls whenever doorbell is pressed (and the chime rings on our Alexa devices, and I receive notifications on my phone). If I have Silent Mode ON, then nothing happens: no calls, no chime, no notifications. Our settings are still mirrored on both phones (meaning if Silent Mode is on one phone, the other one mirrors it - can't have silent mode on one phone and not the other).

OK, so I did what you suggested and it worked for my husband's phone. However, it still rings to my phone (and the Alexa enabled devices). So the problem is 50% solved, but I am stumped that we have a doorbell that can't function as a doorbell alone. To be very clear: we had this working up until recently. I went from Dec 2021 until May 2022 with the Alexa enabled devices ringing and my phone NEVER ringing. Official Arlo case says that they never had this feature - that the only way to disable calls is to have silent mode on and then nothing will ring, but that wasn't the case up until 2 weeks ago. We never would have kept the system if that was the case. Thank you for your continued help.

While I am frustrated for you, I am glad that it is not only me that is having this issue. I opened an official Arlo case with customer service and their final word is that what I had for months is not possible: you can't have silent mode on and the Alexa devices ring. Which makes zero sense since we DID have that for months.

With Alexa Routines, set Ring and Alexa up to fit your personal preferences. Having trouble hearing the doorbell? With Ring and Alexa Routines, change the colour of your smart lights when someone presses your Video Doorbell, so you never miss a visitor.

This is very upsetting, seeing as though I just purchased my Eufy battery doorbell and waiting on my Echo show to come in the mail . I would not have purchased if I knew these two were not compatible with each other.

Your Echo smart speaker will play a sound when someone rings the doorbell. Adding several smart speakers throughout your home is an easy way to always be able to hear your doorbell ring no matter where you are at home.

You can also use two-way talk between your doorbell and Echo Show to communicate with who is there (and while you can see them, they can't see you). Additionally, commands like "Alexa, show my front door" to get an instant view of the entry to your home.

The Amazon Fire TV 4-Series brings 4K Ultra HD entertainment, vivid picture quality, access to more than 1 million movies and TV episodes, and the magic of Alexa to your living room. With the Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote, you can control your TV and compatible speakers or soundbar with the same remote. Simply press and ask Alexa to find, launch, and control your content; you can also ask Alexa to check the weather, update you on sports scores, or tell you a joke.

The latest Fire HD 8 tablet is built for entertainment at home and on the go with an 8-inch HD display, 30% faster performance than the previous generation with 2 GB RAM, screen mirroring, and up to 13 hours of battery life with USB-C charging. Movies, games, and web content look and sound amazing in vivid HD with Dolby Atmos.

Regarding your indoor chime not ringing, the only other thing I can suggest is to double-check the wiring for your Chime Connector, but you've probably done this:

Hubitat - set up and working with a few z-wave devices. I added package manager as well as the Ring Integration (although I don't see how to use this for my ring doorbell and cams). Does the Ring Integration allow live or snapshot videos to be displayed in a dashboard? If the native dashboard does not, then does SharpTools or Home Assistant have that functionality? 006ab0faaa
