My apple music playlists have not been syncing from my laptop. When I create playlists from my iPhone, they automatically sync to my laptop. However, if I create a playlist from my laptop, my phone does not register it. I tried adding music from my laptop to a playlist created by my phone and when I refreshed Music, the song disappeared. I have tried everything and I have no idea what is wrong: signing out and signing back into iCloud, manually putting playlists together, manually syncing, restarting my devices, etc. Both are up to date and I still do not know what the reason is.

Save a copy of a single playlist or use it in iTunes on another computer: Select the playlist in the sidebar on the left, choose File > Library > Export Playlist, then choose XML from the Format pop-up menu.

After you delete a playlist, the playlist URL and title will no longer be visible or searchable in YouTube Analytics. Data associated with the playlist, such as Watch time, will still be part of broader reports, but won't be attributed to the deleted playlist.

I have Premium, and made my first playlist on my web account on my laptop. I thought the playlist would automatically show up on the app on my LG phone. All my stations, etc are there, but not my playlist. Any advice?

I only have the one account. I signed out on my phone and signed back in. On my phone, when I go to My Collection, under Playlists, the playlist I made is not there. I found that if I go to my Profile, and select Playlists, it does show there. It's named My Rock Favorites. This is a pic of my web page.

If that playlist still does not appear on your mobile device, can you please send me an additional screenshot of what you see when sorting your collection by Playlists on that device?

hi, I would like to know the best way to export my traktor playlists / smartlists on a USB stick, in order to open it on traktor on another laptop. And in my case it is from a M1 mac mini to a windows laptop.

In case you didn't know you could do this on your phone, it's easy. Build a new playlist by going to the Your Library tab and tapping the Plus sign (+) in the top right corner. Name your playlist and start adding songs. No matter if you've got just one song or a dozen, toggle the Download button in the playlist within the mobile app. A little green arrow will appear next to each song to indicated it's been saved to your phone.

But where do you find the downloads once you've got them? Go back to Your Library, and at the top of the screen you should see Playlists, Artists and Downloaded. Choose Downloaded. Now you should see all the playlists and songs you've downloaded and can listen to offline.

2. Build your playlist. You can do this by clicking a song > Add to Playlist. From there, add it to an existing playlist or choose New Playlist to start from scratch.

4. After it's completed, you'll see a little green arrow next to the downloaded playlist in the left-hand panel. The little green arrow indicates that the playlist is available offline -- no need to go through filters like on mobile.

I have a laptop with Ubuntu 12.04, I want to be able to play music with it while it is on hibernate mode, the problem is: When I close my laptop it goes to hibernation mode (I know this is a default and I know where to change this, but I can't change whether the system should play music during hibernation or not) While I'm playing music, it stops the music as well (this too sounds logical because hibernation mode is for saving power) But I'd like my computer to continue playing music.

The laptop component using the most power is usually the display; by setting the laptop to "Do Nothing" when you close the lid, it will turn off the display--saving a significant amount of power--and let your music continue playing.

I don't think that is possible at the moment. When you close your laptop lid Ubuntu usually goes into suspend mode (not hibernate). In the Power management menu you can select to do nothing when laptop lid is closed...so it won't go into power saving mode but you will have your music still playing.

This is 100% impossible, since hibernation in no way different from shutting down. When you trigger the hibernation mode, the computer saves everything in your RAM to the hard disk (except the files required to run the OS), and then goes to a power state exactly equivalent to being shut down. You cannot play music while in a suspended (sleeping in other OSes) as well. The only way to save power is to turn off your computer screen. Go to System Settings -> Power if you are using a laptop.

When a close friend recently packed up and moved for a year to Australia, I let a series of hand-crafted playlists convey the emotions neither of us were comfortable sharing. From the homemade compilation cassettes of the '80s and burned CD anthologies of the '90s to the digital setlists of today, arranging and distributing favorite songs remains a widely practiced art form.

Rather than simply hoping for a string of hits on the radio or fumbling around a music-streaming service, why not compile a set of tunes you know you love into a customized playlist for working out, taking a road trip, or cleaning the house?

Existing users can log in, while newbies must choose between a free, ad-supported account, or the $9.99-per-month Premium version. The latter offers perks that'll make building a playlist a bit easier, like a la carte listening and unlimited skips. The screenshots below are from a Premium account. (To avoid the app tax, sign up for Premium on the web and then sign in on the app.)

Spotify offers several playlist-editing options. Maybe you need to rename a playlist or make it private. Reminder: Artists can see the names of your public playlists. You cannot, however, see who viewed or liked your public playlist on Spotify, only how many likes it has. Tap the three-dot menu on your playlist and select Make private. Or select Edit, where you can tap into the playlist name and type a new one. To re-order songs, press and hold on the hamburger menu next to a song and drag it up or down to where you want it. (Tap the minus button to remove a song.)

Playlist curators can share their creations, whether that's a "He Writes the Songs" Barry Manilow tribute or a "Call Me By Lil Nas X's Name" mix. Tap the three-dot icon > Share on a song or playlist to send it via Messages or WhatsApp, post it on Instagram Stories, or send it via social networks like Snapchat, Facebook, or Twitter.

Brave souls can also ask friends to add to a playlist by inviting them to become collaborators. Tap the three-dot menu > Invite collaborators and send out invites. (They'll have to click the link within seven days to gain access.) If they have terrible taste, you can revoke their access to a collaborative playlist.

To delete songs, tap the three-dot menu next to an individual track and choose Remove from this playlist. To erase an entire playlist, tap the three-dot menu under the title and tap Delete playlist.

Once you add a song, Spotify will make suggestions on what to add next. Click Add next to the song. To add a song you're listening to, click the three-dot icon, select Add to playlist and pick a playlist. Reorder songs or episodes by dragging and dropping them into the position you want.

If you're saving a group of playlists for a special occasion occasion (Last Fling Before the Ring, Road Trippin', 90s Dance Party) or mood (Songs to Cry to In the Shower, Let the Good Times Roll, Just Vibes), Spotify supports folders on the desktop app or web player. Next to Your Library on the left menu, click the plus button and select Create a playlist folder.

When you copy music, pictures, and videos from your PC to a blank CD or DVD, it's called "burning." When you copy music, pictures, and videos from a CD or DVD to your PC, it's called "ripping." You can use Windows Media Player to do both.

When you rip music from a CD, you're copying songs from an audio CD to your PC. During the ripping process, the Player compresses each song and stores it on your drive as a Windows Media Audio (WMA), WAV, or MP3 file.

If you get an error message when you try to find album info that says you need to change your privacy settings, select Organize, select Options, select the Privacy tab, and then select the Update music files by retrieving media info from the Internet check box.
