I have to click the 3 dots in the top right after selecting gallery to then specify that i want to get the photos from my phone gallery, not WhatsApp gallery... And when i use this method i can't select multiple images and can't select any videos

Photos and videos sent to me in Whatsapp are automatically appearing in my Gallery (on Huawei P30) but are not then syncing to Dropbox. Not sure how long this has been happening. I'm sure they used to sync along with my other photos and videos but have only just noticed so now am missing lots of photos from friends and family and have no idea how to find them. As well as setting this up for the future, is there a way to force sync everything that has been sent to me in Whatsapp?

To download pictures from WhatsApp, go to the conversation with the picture and look for the download icon (the down arrow) next to the file size (i.e. 56KB). Tap the download icon to save the picture to your gallery. Alternatively, you can create a backup of all your WhatsApp chats and photos.

I am not talking about MIM attach atall. I am aware of chats being E2EE. Thus you will not be able to locate chats in your device folder. And you will not be able to share chats to 3rd person outside whatsapp directly from folder. But images/videos in whatsapp get saved in a device whatsapp folder. And you can send those images/videos directly to 3rd person outside whatsapp directly from your folder. If images too were E2EE, these couldnt not be shared, just the way chats cant be shared from any folder.

If receiving images or video over WhatsApp is sapping your cellular data when you're out and about, you can prevent them from downloading to your iPhone until you're safely back in range of a Wi-Fi connection.

In this article, we'll show you step-by-step how to stop WhatsApp from adding photos to your camera roll on an iPhone. It only takes a minute to change this setting and stop WhatsApp from infiltrating your main photo gallery.

I have a UTM running version 9.351-3. Web Protection is set up to allow Whatsapp messaging. However, users are still prevented from viewing images shared via whatsapp when Web Protection is enabled. Application Control allowing Whatsapp does not seem to help. It looks like Whatsapp uses directly referenced IP addresses instead of URLs along with non-SSL data on SSL ports, and the address is different with every request, so manually allowing specific addresses in Web Protection will not work. The images work when Web Protection is disabled, so there are not firewall issues outside of Web Protection.

The issue of Whatsapp images not showing in the gallery is common on Android and iOS devices. Here is a step-by-step guide to fix this issue. A few checks such as updating the app to the latest version can fix the issue, and if not follow along and this step-by-step guide can help fix this issue.

To stop WhatsApp from saving photos and videos in your Android phone's gallery, launch WhatsApp, tap on the three-dot menu button, and access the Settings. Tap on Chats, and make sure Media visibility is toggled off.

Like the name implies, photos and videos that you've marked as View Once can only be seen one time. After whoever you've sent the photo or video to opens it, it'll disappear from the chat. It'll also disappear if two weeks pass without them ever opening it.

WhatsApp, by default automatically downloads images from your chats to your device either on both Android and iPhone. Therefore you will first have to check photos app on your phone to recover deleted WhatsApp photos. If you are an Android user then you can look at the gallery or Google Photos app. While iPhone users should look in Photos.

WhatsApp will be updating the app with a feature that will maintain the good quality of images sent through it, the app announced earlier this week.Over the years, our use of WhatsApp has extended beyond conversations with friends and family, and nowadays, it also serves as a platform for quick media transfer.Along with the convenience, the main issue is that images sent through the messaging app undergo compression to reduce file size, which often results in a significant loss of image quality and sharpness. Now, after months of rumors and leaks, WhatsApp has begun releasing the mentioned feature.console.log("BODY2. CatId is:"+catID);if(catID==120){console.log("BODY. The messaging app does not limit or compress images sent as documents, or files, allowing the image to reach its destination in its original quality.Sign up for the Business & Innovation Newsletter >>
