I have a 200MB/Month data plan with Vodafone. Not signed up for any period of time... Just month to month and I can cancel it at any time without penalty.

When the firmware was 1.1.4 or lower version in the same iPhone, no problems with GPRS data.

If I put my sim in another phone I can browse the internet with no problems.

All I want to do is be able to access GPRS in my iphone Gen1 with firmware 2.0. GPRS will NOT work. Just keep getting PDP authentication problem. The only thing I have not tried doing is putting the AT&T sim that came with the phone, going to Settings - General - Network, removing the AT&T sim, then putting my sim in the iPhone. However all this would 'apparently' enable me to do is make the apn: www.vodafone.net.nz. I thought I would be able to force the phone to see the apn as www.vodafone.net.nz by changing carrier.txt. Didn't work.

Seeing there is no EDGE network in NZ, maybe I've been barking up the wrong tree by changing the EDGE settings. Does firmware 2.0 stop GPRS data? I am sooooooooooo frustrated!

This is the 4th iphone I am getting on a 12 month downpayment (so I am ready for the next phone in a year :)) and the tracking means little. It always arrives at launch day when you order at the start of preorder time. My problem is with StarTrack. I live in a apartment building and work from home. They never ring my doorbell but always dump it in the local post office claiming I was not home..

But when I logged into the auspost app there is a package registered with startrack that is processing. For those stuck on the same status check the mypost app and you might see the package there.

My status with vodafone is still unchanged. However using the auspost app I get a startrack tracking number with the following history:

Indeed! I chose vodafone first when I pre-ordered, but I thought I would get the phone on the 22nd, but it's now the 27th and still no accurate progress! Some people told me yesterday that I'd get my phone today, others told me I'd get it by the 29th, and I'm confused!

i've been back and forth with vodafone and apparently startrack have the devices. they've told me 24-48 hours before I receive the phone, but they've been saying that since 04/10 which was my estimate delivery date.

I have cancelled the order and booked a pick up tomorrow from the website, I don't have enough time and patience to wait for their inefficiency, this is the biggest disappointment I have ever had, vodafone shouldn't let their customers down again and again!!!

i don't recommending going into the apple store and trying to get it on a plan though, because your vodafone plan will take 7 days to cancel, so you'll have to wait an extra week before you can re-place an order on your voda account. so if you're happy to pay for the device, see it available for pick up, and don't want to wait for your order, then do that!

Hello everyone! I have been using this forum to get update others for quite a while now and decided to drop an update of mine as well. I ordered a 15 PM NT 256g on 23rd of September (quite late tbh) and the vodafone tracking, which is horrible, told me it'd get shipped 3rd of october. Then it was the 13th and finally now its the 20th of november. Im seeing people get theirs so hopefully I get mine by next week fingers crossed. Support says i preordered so i should get it quick but i was obviously a week late.

I wonder if this applies to Victoria as well. My mum went into local vodafone store last sunday (our family account is under her name) and they told her that they had no stock nor were they even sure when stock was coming in.

Hmm that's interesting, mine says it's preparing for delivery too but mine still says "13/11/23 00:00" under it but because you said it changed to tomorrow's date, I'm assuming yours says 14/11/23? These dates that vodafone dish out confuse me honestly.

We had to file a police report for the vodafone identity fraud form so we went to the police station, they said that we have to do it online, we filed a cyber report online. Had to go to the JP to get the STAT dec signed.

Vodafone have never cared about privacy or security. When I was with them, they did their customer service via vodafone.custhelp.com unsecured (plain text), hosted by a third party with which customers had no legal relationship, hosted in the USA (outside Australian jurisdiction) and in order to get any replies to any queries, customers were required to enter private, personal information onto that site!
