I have researched all kinds of workarounds but is there a way to move the song that I just downloaded to my phone (so it's sitting in the download folder) to the music app (without going to itunes on my mac)?

Abstract We introduce MusicLM, a model generating high-fidelity music from text descriptions such as "a calming violin melody backed by a distorted guitar riff". MusicLM casts the process of conditional music generation as a hierarchical sequence-to-sequence modeling task, and it generates music at 24 kHz that remains consistent over several minutes. Our experiments show that MusicLM outperforms previous systems both in audio quality and adherence to the text description. Moreover, we demonstrate that MusicLM can be conditioned on both text and a melody in that it can transform whistled and hummed melodies according to the style described in a text caption. To support future research, we publicly release MusicCaps, a dataset composed of 5.5k music-text pairs, with rich text descriptions provided by human experts.

The apple "ecosystem" strikes again! Too cute by half, the engineers assume far more than they should. Unless I have purposefully initiated an audio stream (and not necessarily imusic) I NEVER WANT AN AUTOMATIC BEHAVIOR that I have to fight to try and stop. Apple, you don't know me, you are not the smartest people in the room and I don't want you shoving your assumptions on me.

Thanks! This solved my problem. The play/pause button on my bluetooth headphones would sometimes trigger Apple Music to open on my MacBook when I was trying to control music on my iPhone. Adding the application 'noTunes' to my login list prevents Apple Music from opening when I hit play/pause on my headphones. Having 'noTunes' added to my 'open at login' items keeps me from having to open the application manually every time I restart my computer.

My Sennheiser Momementum headphones can connect to two devices at the same time - my phone and work computer in my case. They have a feature by which they auto-pause when you take them off, and resume when you put them back on. Every time I put them back on when listening to music from my phone, Apple Music would launch on the computer and attempt to "onboard" me. Apple music cannot be removed, and this behaviour cannot be turned off.

On other devices, connecting the headset will not start an audio playback application, that wasn't already running, just because you connect it. Other devices do not seem to have a hardcoded default music player that will respond to any playback request by launching as the foreground application, and taking screen control.

My bluetooth headset does not have configuration to control whether it sends an initial "continue playback" request once successfully connected. The software coded into the chipset in a headset is fairly lightweight, and doesn't contain much in the way of configurable behaviours. Operating Systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux usually provide such controls to let you configure how they respond to requests coming from connected devices.

Seems that in this case, macOS have decided to optimise for Apple branded hardware connectivity, further reinforcing that Apple experiences are tailored specifically to Apple devices and software. Coming from open platforms, like Linux and Windows, we sometimes forget this.

Music from Another Dimension! is the fifteenth studio album by American rock band Aerosmith, released on November 6, 2012, by Columbia Records.[2] Their first studio album since 2004's Honkin' on Bobo, as well as the first to feature all-new material since 2001's Just Push Play, its release marks the longest gap between Aerosmith's studio albums. The album was released in a single CD edition, along with a deluxe version.[3] It is the last album in Aerosmith's recording contract with Sony/Columbia Records and was produced by Jack Douglas, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Marti Frederiksen (three tracks). It is also their longest studio album with total track time of nearly 68 minutes.

On May 30, Aerosmith and Cheap Trick performed for Walmart shareholders[22] and then began the "Global Warming Tour" on June 16 in Minneapolis, which took the band to 25 locations across North America through August 12.[23][24] During the tour, Aerosmith performed new material from the album, including the single "Legendary Child", as well as the album track "Oh Yeah". In addition, "Beautiful" was played on the PA system before Aerosmith's show at the Hollywood Bowl on August 6.

Music from Another Dimension! debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 selling just 63,000 copies its first week, a sharp contrast to previous debuts.[45] The album received mostly mixed reviews from music critics, with online review site Metacritic calculating an aggregate score of 54/100 based on 22 reviews.[34]

On August 24, 2012, Aerosmith released the first trailer for the album on YouTube. It included pro-shot live footage (possibly from the upcoming bonus DVD for the album), interviews with the band, scenes of the band inside the studio, and snippets from the single "Legendary Child".[46]

On September 17, 2012, Aerosmith released the third trailer for the album on Vimeo. The preview started off with Joe Perry and producer, Jack Douglas, in the studio discussing a song from the upcoming album, then it cut to the same opening in the episode one. After the intro, the video cut to a clip filmed in the summer of 2011 of Tom Hamilton, Joe Perry and Joey Kramer discussing one of Perry's contributions to the album and working out the guitar riffs. The third clip in the video was of the band at Vindaloo Studios with a voice-over commentary by Kramer; the commentary lasted for two more clips. The second to last clip was of the band discussing a few songs in an office with Douglas; it included Steven Tyler playing guitar. The last clip was a montage of small studio sessions.[48]

Hi I'm new to all this so apologies! A friend has shared some music files with me via dropbox. I have a dropbox account and have installed the app on my iphone. How do I download the music files on to my phone so I can play them?
