My network settings weren't great, so I moved things so the connection displays as "Good" but it still throws this error. No other channels are affected, they all play just fine, it's only the Live TV portion of the Roku Channel. I cannot change the guide back to "All Channels" with this error, I assume it's related. Is there anything I can do about this, or do I just not get to have the live tv feature anymore? I'd had it on the for the last day and a half and really was enjoying it.

@JohnH45 If you read the first post by @casualcaptor He was referring to "live tv" on the Roku channel. Are you speaking about live TV on the Roku channel or live tv using an antenna? Do you have a Roku TV? You did not specify which Roku you have

Anyone else having this issue? I highlight & click the "live" option for viewing, but it still starts me at the beginning of the broadcast. I've tried two different games, same issue. I can fast forward to the current action, but that's annoying obviously.

I click on it and it keeps cutting in and out while flashing the 3 dots. I've tried restarting, deleting app/reloading app, system update, and my WiFi says excellent connection. I can watch it from my phone and live stream it. Live channels work on other apps. Any other thoughts why it's not working through the roku??? Thanks

Having the exact same issue. Keeps flashing back and forth, like it's loading with the 3 dots on screen then flashes to the show for a split second then back to the 3 dots loading. Then after about minute or two of that it says "Sorry! we're having some trouble...Something has gone wrong. Please try restarting your app and try live stream again. Error code: CloudpathErrorBufferingTimeout

Still will not stream live. Tried it 3 times...uninstall, restart, install. Even made sure once that I signed out and unlinked provider before I uninstalled it. That didn't make a difference. The only thing different is that before it show's that message "Sorry...""" the live guide is displayed but when I try to connect to any of the channels listed it blinks the 3 dots like it's loading but goes right to "Sorry" message. Like I've said before I don't understand why it's just NBC. All the other channel apps work fine with live stream. That's why I thought it might be the NBC app it's self, and maybe they need to check it and update it.

I'm having trouble disabling the remote control buttons like "fast forward", "pause", etc. in my Roku application. It is a very simple application that just has the one main scene, which only creates a video node that plays a live stream of our television channel. It was accepted by Roku accept that they require you to disable the trick play buttons like "fast forward" during a live stream. The documentation says this should be handled with the "onKeyEvent()" function. If the event is handled, it 'shouldn't' bubble up and be handled by the firmware. I can console log to prove that the function is firing but when I turn "handled" to true and return it, it seems to have no effect. all the buttons continue to fire and do their thing.

Roku announced its first branded smart TV and it was released in late 2014. These TVs are manufactured by companies like TCL, LG, Westinghouse and Hisense, and use the Roku user interface as the "brain" of the TV. Roku TVs are updated just like the streaming devices.[70] More recent[vague] models also integrate a set of features for use with over-the-air TV signals, including a program guide that provides information for shows and movies available on local antenna broadcast TV, as well as where that content is available to stream, and the ability to pause live TV (although the feature requires a USB hard drive with at least 16GB storage).

Roku will become the U.S. streaming home of Formula E, the electric vehicle-powered auto racing series, with both live and on-demand replays of races. The series is also expanding its long-standing partnership with CBS, the companies announced Tuesday.

The partnership marks Roku's inaugural venture into live sports, and it comes as the motorsports series is hoping to expand its U.S. presence after a sold-out Formula E race in Portland, Oregon, last Saturday.

Debuting at the Olympic Park in Beijing in 2014, Formula E's races take place worldwide, and the first fully electric racing series currently features 12 teams and 24 drivers. Last year, the company said races reached a record high of 216 million live viewers, up 10% from the previous season.

Netflix is reportedly in talks to livestream its debut sporting event this fall: a celebrity golf tournament with professional golfers and Formula One drivers. It has rejected bidding on live sports in the past.

Disney's ESPN this year has also been negotiating with prominent sports leagues and media partners about launching a feature on its website and free app that will link users directly to where a live sporting event is streaming.

With 42 live events a year, UFC brings you the best mma action on the planet. Roku TVs are some of the most popular devices in the world. Here's how you can watch UFC through ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass wherever you are.

Yep, TiVo does streaming now. The Stream 4K uses Android TV, an older version of Google TV. Android TV categorizes recommendations by streaming service, and TiVo has its own menu too, which sorts recommendations based on genre rather than service. You can also search across all services. When we tried it, both Sling and YouTube TV could be integrated into the live TV guide, but now only the latter works. You can still use the Sling app directly though.

Viewers will also get to see live breaking news coverage outside of our traditional broadcast timeslots, plus WFAA original content -- like this deep dive into the mystery surrounding a stolen $160 million painting.

Optionally, you can go to the Apple TV App in Amazon.com and sign in to your account, follow the onscreen instructions to select the Amazon Fire TV device on which you want the app installed, then select Deliver.

Madison City Channel is available on Roku streaming devices. Madison City Channel is the City of Madison's municipal television channel, a service provided by City of Madison Information Technology (IT). Madison City Channel covers essential City board, committee, and commission meetings, as well as events like panel discussions and community listening sessions. Madison City Channel also presents public affairs programming, featuring City officials, community leaders, and candidates in local elections.

The Roku channel offers City of Madison live coverage and on-demand content in full HD. Roku is a great option for those without cable television packages to engage in local government.

Adding Madison City Channel to Your Roku Channel List

The network's continued expansion into streaming services will bring millions of Roku users live video and on-demand content, historical footage and local news from several markets. During breaking news, Roku viewers will have live access to multiple content streams, ABC said.

"Roku is a leading streaming platform, with more than 10 million players sold across the U.S., and we're thrilled to have ABC News live on the Roku platform today," Colby Smith, vice president of digital for ABC News, said in a memo to employees.

For ABC News, which doesn't have a cable news network, this is part of a new venture creating live news for online viewers. Its channel will focus on the most relevant story happening at any time, and will stream across various ABC properties. While the ABC News stream will occasionally use a split-screen view to show multiple stories at once, viewers won't have the option to click on one and select it. Instead, ABC News will experiment with smaller windows showing streams that don't require audio, such as a weather map.

Roku has again expanded the free content available in its ad-supported Roku Channel, this time with entertainment and sports options. Entertainment partners include TMZ, AFV, FailArmy, People Are Awesome, and Pet Collective. For sports, Roku offers live programming from Adventure Sports Network, Combat Go, EdgeSports, and Stadium. ff782bc1db
