Can you please explain how can we achieve this with minimum changes to the codebase? I have an android application and I wanted to integrate rocket.chat to my application so as to provide a customer support/feedback channel.

One way is to use the sdk and write all the code (layouts, corresponding java files) to have a chat platform. Alternatively, somehow if I can use the existing app( ), a lot of work will be reduced, but I am not getting how can I achieve this.

Maybe you can raise a bug with this use case on the app code page.

I found issues looking like this, closed but not solved (solved on user side by setting the app public, like this one : Can't use rocketchat electron app with rocketchat on yunohost Issue #41 YunoHost-Apps/rocketchat_ynh GitHub )

The University of Toledo and Transact are excited to share with students, faculty and staff that they can now use their iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy, or other eligible Android phones to conveniently, safely, and securely access campus buildings, meal plans, and more. UToledo is the fifth institution of higher learning in the State of Ohio to make this technology available to its faculty and staff.

With Rocket Mobile IDs, the campus community has the option to reduce the number of times they touch a reader or hand their Rocket ID card to someone else. With mobile credentialing, many actions that previously required a physical ID card will now be able to be completed using their iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy or other eligible Android phones. Simply place the mobile device near a reader to enter a building, check out library material, visit the Recreation Center, access your meal plan, make purchases at campus stores, and more.

Mobile Credentials on iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy, and other Android phones, provide an extra level of security and privacy so students, staff, and faculty do not need to worry about always having their physical ID card when they are enjoying campus life. If you misplace your iPhone or Apple Watch, you can use the following link iCloud.com/find to use the Find My app to immediately lock your device and help locate it. If you misplace your Android device, you can access android.com/find and sign into your Google Account to flag your lost device.

In addition, you can easily suspend your Rocket Mobile ID, if needed, through the Transact eAccounts app on either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Additionally, the Rocket Mobile ID on iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy or other eligible Android phones is protected by two factor authentication to ensure only the owner can access their account.

I, too, am working through configuration issues with Rocket.Chat. I really like the LDAP integration with UCS, etc. I am immensely frustrated with the mobile notification / push problems. It simply does not work as installed from UCS.

Web client to web client seems good. Web client to mobile rocket.chat or mobile to mobile works as a chat app fine, just as long as the user is online and active. Otherwise, no notifications and the user drops offline.

On other systems, I have been using XMPP client xabber app logged into XMPP servers Prosody and Openfire. Notification to the mobile android app are stable and work well. I was hoping to use the preconfigured rocket.chat as a complete solution, but, the lack of mobile notification is a real problem.

The plans are to provide an update for the upcoming Rocket.Chat 1.0 release and then have a closer look at it. Would it be possible that one of you can make himself available for a screen sharing debugging session? This would be very helpful.

btw. just did a quick check on one of my test systems, since I was testing app updates anyways (and already have the rocket chat app installed from another test) and for me the push notifications now seem to work out of the box. even without the setup wizard.

was your install a straight forward install from the UCS application pool? I have tried removing/reinstalling and even a fresh UCS install and then add Rocket.Chat with identical recuring notification problems.

Yes, indeed. To makes sure no leftovers where there I removed the rocketchat dir from the appcenter directory, then installed the app from the (testing-)appcenter. After changing the admin password I enabled rocket chat for one of my ldap users and logged in with this user on the app. When sending a message to the user from admin I then got the notification.

the works on the Rocket.Chat 1.0 app update will start next week. It hopefully will be finished within two weeks including the major effort part on testing. For the update it is also planned to bring back the Rocket.Chat system wizard. Maybe this helps resolving the push notification issue.

The Rocket.Chat data is persistent on the UCS host at /var/lib/univention-appcenter/apps/rocketchat/data. If you want to remove old data, you need to uninstall the app and then remove the content of that data directory.

We want to make extensive use handheld terminals in our warehouse and Factory for point of activity transaction processing, with a goal to further enhance this and utilise Barcoding to reduce further the amount of manual keying required

As there does not appear to be a version of SB Client that will operate natively on anything other than Windows can anyone suggest a handheld that will provide a screen large enough to accommodate SB Menus and also work with a decent touch screen that is not subject to "fat finger" syndrome

we have be experimenting with Zebra TC520K android handheld with Velocity Android 2.0 TE terminal emulator. (VT100) this uses Telnet as its connection interface to the UV and SB applications however it does not provide easy Access to "F2" and "F3" keys which are used extensively within our current transaction processes

NB I've not been able to find a handheld that offers Windows 10 IOT yet, so it might be a mute point and I have to accept my only option for point of activity processing will be via Android and Terminal Emulation

Since my 1st post done some more digging and it looks like there were a few Win10 and WIN10 IOT handheld devices put on the market, by the mainstream Hand Held folks Honeywell, Zebra, Motorola and they seem now to have reversed back to Android. there are a few still out there, but finding something, someone has personal experience and can recommend its combability with SB Client is what i hope to find, before i start spending money hoping to find one that actually works with SB Client

Now the challenge was that I have to make the whole working application in one month time. Yes, in one month time, I have to decide what I have to make, design and then implement it, test it and deploy it on the Apple App Store.

Now at this time I was brimming with cool rocket games ideas and at the same time I have to make it work in a given time constraint. So this time constraint, in a way , helped me in coming to a point for what I want to make. Because of this I decided to start with the simplest of the implementation that is rocket liftoff. What I did was I picked up a 3d model and applied some force on it in AR. So it apparently looked like a rocket liftoff and I had satisfaction that I have started with something.

So back to the liftoff, after liftoff, the next big thing was stage separation. But unfortunately 3d model that I was using didn't had sub nodes, so for separation of rocket I have to choose another model. These mentioned sites come quite handy if you want to have free 3d models.

Now the rocket has taken off, the stage was getting separated, now what to do after the rocket has reached the roof of the user room. Now where do I take the user? The answer was in the project I learned a few weeks back, it was a Augmented Reality portal in which the user can be ported to another world using augmented reality. So taking the idea from this I created the Universe and ported the rocket as well as user into the Universe. So in this I showed an effect where the rocket which went through the user roof looked like as if it was getting out from the earth.

Ok, now I got the rocket out of the planet. Now next thing was, what to do with it. Land somewhere, maybe make it return back from where it took off, remember I have to make it in a game format with scoring and user control as well. So combining my knowledge of AR Solar System, iOS app that I created 6 months back, I decided to make it land on the surface of the moon. I find it the easiest thing to do at that moment and also will feel as if the the whole cycle of the game has completed. Landing on the moon was a relative easy task as it just involved playing with coordinates and there you got your rocket capsule land on surface of the moon.

To make it user interactive, I devised 4 separation rings, three while remaining in real scene and one in the ported universe. These four rings also worked as rocket stage separator. When rocket is passing through these rings, the ring gets activated and when user taps on the screen the sub node of rocket gets separated and adds a boost to the main body for the upward journey. So this way user interact with the rocket. Now how to score, what I did was that score starts adding up as soon as the rocket lifts off and is related to vertical height(y-axis value) and when user tapped while rocket is passing through the ring, according to time and ring color, the score gets added. The ring color starts from yellow, transitioning to green. When the ring turns green maximum, score is added and maximum thrust boost is given to the main body.

Xcode is pretty powerful tool. I have used ARKit, CoreMotion, AVFoundation, Scenekit and UIKit. Using Xcode editor, you can do all sorts of things on 3D objects like scaling, position, editing physics properties of the object and diffusion of image or color on 3D object. I created this whole project using Xcode. Editing, animation, effects everything can be done using it. With ARKit, Apple has done a marvelous job and can perform very complex functions with ease. 152ee80cbc
