Every time I try to text a video the quality is AWFUL. I didn't get one of the best phones on the market to have my videos be blurry when trying to send them on messenger. How do I fix this? Also can only send one video at a time. How can I send multiple CLEAR videos?

So then why was I able to send crystal clear videos with my Note 8 and now that I've upgraded to the Note 10 (same carrier and NO changes to my phone plan) they are always blurry. I find it hard to believe it's the carrier. Why spend all the money on an awesome phone with high quality video for them to be crappy when sent -_-

I tried this and there is no option that Pops up saying "share large files". And I feel as well that with the price of the phone it should automatically send high quality videos without having to do all this extra stuff.

If we talk about close friends I can ask them about the high-resolution images anyway. It's more about event, party and everyday pictures often shared in group chats with not so close friends. And yes, I also care about those pictures in good resolution.

On my devices I experience that if you send a large image (e.g not one taken on an iPhone camera but on a DSLR) is that iMessage will send a very low quality image over (this depends on your settings). WhatsApp is a good way however you are right in that primarily airdrop is the best way to ensure a high quality image. The quality of the photo is not necessarily about the size of it in megabytes it is more in relation to the dpi and amount of megapixels. The 5 mb photo that you took is not that big so iMessage would not compress it and send as a lower quality image. To ensure that iMessages does not lower the quality of your image go to settings > iMessage > Low-Quality Image Mode. Make sure that this mode is not on as other wise some of your images will be sent in lower quality. I would say overall though that WhatsApp or airdrop is the best as it is easier to send. Sometimes iMessage struggles to send large photos when on low signal or abroad on holiday.

The iPhone X is taking photos in that format. My iPhone 7 Plus is running iOS 10 so it is not using that format. I'm curious about this issue both from the perspective of pictures taken with a friend's iPhone X while we're together on vacation for me to save the highest quality pics and for me to share pics I take with my iPhone 7 Plus with Android users. I recently purchased a Samsung galaxy s21 ultra and am having issues when sending photos through Facebook messenger. Whenever I send a photo the recipient receives a lower quality version of the photos, sometimes so blurry it's unrecognisable. I often send photos/videos to my friends on Messenger. The problem is that FB's algorythm compresses them so badly it really affects their enjoyability. I send HD videos, and they get something like it was 2000. I send high quality photos of a document and they can barely read it.
