Just bought AORUS 15 and I was totally surprised about how bad the main software is. I am GCC needs to control everything on my laptop jet somehow it is nearly impossible to see due to extra small text and being unable to resize the app. Also clicking on basically anything freezes for a sec before actually doing anything and half the time the app simply won't start. How can this be an issue on a top-of-the-line laptop? I had HP, Asus, MSI, and Lenovo before, and never have I seen such bad control app...

I cannot for the life of me find the original Gigabyte Control Center; of any of the suite of Gigabyte programs, that was the one I wanted, I don't want to have to recheck the website every so often for updated drivers. I'm finding Gigabyte App Center, which didn't even work correctly, and I still had lag when trying to play 140. I mean how am I even supposed to control the keyboard colors and stuff like that.

Both RGB Fusion in GCC and RGB Fusion 2 can be used to control the RGB effects of supported products. When both software are running simultaneously, the selected RGB effect on the product will follow the last adjustment. For example: When you attempt to set the LED effect to Static mode with a red color through the RGB Fusion in GCC. The previous RGB effect which was configured with RGB Fusion 2 will be replaced with a static red color.

At first after a clean Windows 11 install, RGB Fusion 2.0 detected my RAM (Trident Z5 RGB) and I was able to play with the RGB but I had to reinstall Gigabyte Control Center (GCC) because the fan control wasn't working correctly with my GPU (Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti Vision OC).

Why use GCC to tune my GPU instead of MSI Afterburner? Because I did not want any confliction with the 2 softwares trying to control my GPU. UNFORTUNATELY, reinstalling GCC did not help my GPU and I opted to use MSI Afterburner anyways...

Personally I would always just use the software from the motherboard..after all the actual connection for the control of the rgb is on that hardware. use the motherboard RGB solution and remove everything else.

So GCC randomly decided to stop working a week ago. Just shows a gray screen, cant control anything on my GPU including fan speeds.. I have the RTX 4090 Gigabyte Master OC that has the LCD screen that is only controllable by this program that I'm aware of. I've contacted Gigabyte support and that was very unhelpful. They literally just admitted that the program is buggy, and they were sorry about my luck. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a known work around?

I'm having a problem with my RGB fusion features in my gigabyte control center. It never saves the "sync all" option on the RGB fusion, why is that? I like to have all of my rgbs synced together, so I turn "sync all" on, but whenever I restart my pc it never saves it and always changes it back to individual RGB.

So if you are like me and you have a Gigabyte motherboard, but you have Corsair ram and would prefer to have iCUE control your rams RGB rather than Fusions limited profiles then here is how to stop Fusion from ever trying to control your ram again, or atleast until you update it the next time or they change their software:D: This method will work for stopping Fusion from taking control of any ram in your system, and once your are finished Fusion will not even be able to see your ram.

Take those 2 files and either move them into a different folder so you can easily move them back later if you need them, or just delete the files if you like to throw caution to the wind. If you delete them then you will need to reinstall Fusion to get them back if for some reason it breaks something. After you move those 2 files restart your computer and when you look in Fusion the next time you should not see any ram showing up. Now you can freely control your Corsair Ram with iCUE.

was a fresh install of windows 11. keep trying every update since i built the pc in november and every version crashes.

gigabyte support isn't helpful and just asks if you've tried things you said in the first ticket you already did.

everything else is perfectly stable on it nothing else crashes when i run it. can benchmark all day long or game as much as i want or run memtest. everything comes back stable just GCC crashes.

i uninstall each version after it continues the crashing trend and install new each time an update comes out without luck.

I wish to know if anybody from here owns too a Gigabyte Aero 15 laptop and if he/she can control the fans.

This laptop is from 2017, with a 7th gen. Intel Core i7-7700HQ and an Nvidia GTX 1060 with 6Gb.This is an awesome laptop, thin, compact, lightweight yet at the same time powerfull and a long-lasting battery life.

I'm very happy with it, except that I can't control the fans when running Ubuntu, meanwhile this is possible under Windows 10.

I want to know if it's possible to control the fans under Ubuntu since it gets pretty hot under some load using this OS.

Except that quirk and some others: some Fn keys doesn't work at all, and when connecting an external monitor Grub does not show (I suspect this is a problem between Intel and Nvidia GPUs).

I'm pretty happy using Ubuntu but if I could control the fans it would be perfect, the Fn keys problem can be easy to solve with mapping that function keys to another custom keyboard shortcut, and since I only use Ubuntu and Windows 10, it's easy to remember the Grub menu too.

So my main issue are the fans.

In my case there was already some basic automatic fan speed control, but when I was running Tensorflow scripts heavily using GPU, for some reason the fans were clearly not running at their maximum speed (simply they were much less noisy than in Windows) and the laptop heated too much. So I just wanted to be able to set the maximum speed manually, same as hitting Fn+Esc in Windows.

Firstly, nbfc with Gigabyte AERO 14KV8 config works perfectly (at the time of writing there was no specific Aero 15 config). nbfc is a powerful tool allowing for manual and fully automatic temperature-based fan control. However, nbfc is written in C#, so you need to install Mono runtime environment to be able to run .NET on linux. For a simple manual fan control this may be a bit overkill.

The second option I found is p37-ec, a compact program fit in a single C file with no dependencies offering some fan control features for another Gigabyte laptop model. While it was properly metering the temperature and the fan speed, to get it working to actually control the fans by setting the EC registers values I needed to dig a bit more, namely to look at the working nbfc config. The following bash script using p37-ec allows to set manually the speed of the both fans:

So as the title says, my control center is completely blank. I had a previous control center, which was the old Aorus Control Center that originally came with this laptop. When I installed this control center, it completely replaced the old one and it was completely gone. Now with this new control center, absolutely nothing shows up, and for some reason it says that I have no internet connection when I most definitely do. I even fully wiped my laptop, hoping it'd work (I had to do this for other reasons as well.) Now I have no control center, and the F keys are useless because they don't function at all without the control center. I don't remember what model it was, but I can give the specifications if it helps. I have an RTX 3080, 32 GB Ram, 1 TB SSD, and an 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz. Please tell me if there are any solutions, I need the control center for my laptop features. Thank you!

I own an Aero 15 X9 and I tried to update the Control Center from itself, but Avast messed the installation up putting some important stuff into the virus chest getting it crashed. I restored those archives (gllicense.exe and something else) and set up an exception but it no longer works out, it doesn't even open when I double click or run as administrator either, which means I'm not able to control the fans speed, CPU TPD, Keyboard RGB, literally NOTHING. Reinstalling several times different versions didn't solve my issue. Does anyone know any solution? e24fc04721
