How To Download Files From 000webhost File Manager

I am not able to access file manager after creating my website in the 000webhost.com. I am getting the below error when accessing the File Manager in the webhost. Below is the screenshot of the problem.

I was wondering if there is any way of downloading your entire site back off from the file managers at once. This way I can keep my personal backup and copy of the site up to date with any changes I make.

Web-FTP issue is under investigation. We recently moved both file managers to a new server and need to take a closer look at why exactly they fail. For now we recommend using a FTP client which will allow you to manage/transfer your files

Personally id recommend FlashFXP or FileZilla, but if you cant be bothered to install a FTP client you can always zip up all the files/folders you want to upload, then upload them and unzip them on the server using the file manager in your cPanel

Still problems connecting using File Manager or FTP. I am trying to upload some files to the first free website (wlsetzer-genealogy) I am trying to get working on 000webhost.com. I wanted to test using 000.webhost.com to see if I can recommend to my paying customers moving their websites here. I have been trying for over 2 hours this morning to upload and change about 5 files using both FTP and File Manage. Until these problems are corrected and I can connect using FTP or File Manager to upload and or change files I cannot recommend using 000webhost.com. I will say that once I can get the files upload and or changed the website itself seems to work ok.

I am using Muse to make my page, and upload it directly from there. What happens is that white text appears to be outlined, and gets difficult to read. I have found a solution to it, by putting a few lines into the css-file. I cannot edit the css from Muse, so I have to do it after it is uploaded here. So I open the file in file manager, enter the code, and push save & close. But nothing happens. I tested the code in the developer console on my browser, so I know there is nothing wrong with the code.

I have been experiencing the same issue and no I can not connect directly through the file manager on my page with files. My empty page I can load the file manager though and upload files. How ever I have neglected to do so, in fear I would be wasting my time again.

Yes, I was logged in correctly under the right account and it was showing my proper URL. For whatever reason when I uploaded in file manager I was doing it in the first folder I entered, then I saw a notice that said public folder, I opened the public folder and saw all my old files. I just re-uploaded my new html files in there and now everything works perfectly. Guess its been a long time since I updating anything to remember that lol.

If you have a windows pc, you can use windows explorer, the file manager, to manage your website. In the bar at the top (where it says c:\users\whatever) type :password@www.bamfacts.tk or and enter your username and password in the popup window. you can then edit files in a text editor (right click => open in notepad [or similar]), edit the file, save (ctrl + s).

Well, it depends on how you get your files onto 000webhost. The typical way (at least for web hosts I have come across) is to ftp the files you need to a location the web hoster provides to you. This can often by a www or httpdocs folder. Anything in this folder is then available to fetch from a browser. However, this can be complicated in that web servers have to be told what files they are allowed to server to browsers.
