2023 update: I want to clarify this post. At this time this was a PSA about two things. At the time HG/SS carts were selling for 100 or more. You could get an IR Japanese cart for 20-30. English pokewalkers were selling for 100 USD but Japanese were in the 20 to 40. Twilight menu allowed you to use other cheaper IR carts and pokewalkers are region free. This was not well known at the time. I do not know if this is still economically beneficial as I haven't kept up.

I saw on the gba temp thread that because pokemon white is dsi enhanced that it supports wpa connections so long as twilight is updated and wifi is turned on. So my question is, what im a doing wrong? Edit: said by rocketrobs themselves

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer after quite a bit of searching. So I dug up an old dsi that I have that has Twilight menu installed (must have installed it a year ago or so, so forgot most of the settings). I want to play some official cartridges that I have but when I put them in nothing happens, I get no option to run them. I read online that I can click the SELECT button in the menu and that should pull up a window but nothing is showing up. I tried removing the SD card and it put me in alternate menu upon booting and when I inserted the cartridge it did show up and I was able to run the game, but I don't want to have to resort to removing the SD card everytime I want to play a cartridge. What should I do? Thank you for any help!

Im trying to play some DS games with my friends with twilight menu++ over Download play. I can join lobbys (for example Mario Kart DS) but when I start the Round/Match the 3Ds that is using Download play freezes. This doesnt happen if both players have the game (also if both use Twilight Menu). So my question is: Does anyone also experience this or is it just for me and if anyone has a fix.

Okay so I've been trying to play some nsmb custom games and when I would download them they would all be .xdelta files and won't show up on twilight menu. So I would like to know how am I able to play these .xdelta games, thanks in advance.

I followed this guide to play my DS games on widescreen -homebrew.com/twilightmenu/playing-in-widescreen After alot of attempts following the guide didn't work. After following all the steps the problem was the part where it said to move TwlBg.cxi file from SD/luma/sysmodules to SD/_nds/Twilighmenu/TwlBg and rename to "Widescreen.cxi" I wasn't able to play in widescreen when I moved the file to TwlBg but if I didn't move it Twilight menu would start up with widescreen itself. However I could not change it back to normal using twilight menu unless I rearranged the file like before.

Now apparently there's supposed to be an aspect ratio option in twilight menu besides the game specific aspect ratio option before starting a game. However I could not find it. This person here had the same problem: -Homebrew/TWiLightMenu/issues/829 He eventually found a solution to this from what it seems, apparently you have to choose what console type you will use when Twilight menu starts up for the first time. This doesn't happen to me even after I deleted settings.ini

I'm a complete noob to this so bear with me. I just hacked my 3DS using the hacks guide. I used universal-updater to download twlight menu++, this also downloaded ndsforwarder. Most of the guides I've found are old and outdated and require you to use Twilight Menu++ Updater to install it or something similar however downloading it from Univerdal Updater installed Twilight Menu for me. I was able to just put ROMs in the roms folder and play them.

I decided to post this as I have find the solution to a problem I've been having loading the Gen 5 pokemon games through twilight menu on 3DS, and have realised a way to solve this, so for anyone else having this problem, try this.

I recently installed the twilight menu on my 3DS alongside quite a few DS games, and was wondering if it was possible to go back to the Twilight menu without going all the way back to the home menu? Like a command or something like that?

I have unlaunch and twilight menu on my sd card and ive been using it for a while but it gets annoying having to go to the camera app and open it from there everytime i want to play a different game, **anyway i can use the home button to go to tm the instead of dsi home?

Googling around the problem I found this github issue: -Homebrew/TWiLightMenu/issues/723, where the maintainer recommends placing less roms in the folder. As I had basically the entire Western DS romset in there (two thousand ish games if I'm remembering right) I suppose the problem must be that it just can't handle that many files...? I deleted all but four of the DS games and tried again and the menu loaded instantly and I was able to start and play games, so I guess that's the cause.
