I have a gold standard machine that contains all the correct drivers and I want to know if there is an easy way to compare the driver version between computer A and computer B (both with identical hardware).

I've had a look online and can see there are others that have had a stab at this (see here), but they are very outdated and old so cannot use. Is there a relatively up-to-date way to achieve this? The linked article is for a PSGallery module "CompareComputer" that flags driver differences between A and B, and this is exactly what I'm trying to find.

How does it behave if there are multiple user accounts on the computer and any of them can be on at any time? It seems we need it running on each account. Anyway around that? Once it is on, it needs to be logged into an account that has the utility running to then turn it back off.

FYI, I have other drivers that include WOL functionality: LAN Device Monitor, and Virtual WOL Switch. So if this driver is more than what you really need you might want to look into either of those. LAN Device Monitor also monitors device states that support UPnP. Virtual WOL Switch is just a simple switch that can be controlled from Alexa.

I had a similar issue and actually another issue. Every time I tried to discover a device it would create a new device. Then when I was trying to add my Hue Hub instead of waiting for my Hue to connect it would create 2 devices and say it was successful for Hue. I had to remove the driver to connect my Hue hub.

Sounds awesome. Ill try today if the wake up function works with my fileserver just with the MAC/IP information, but it would be nice to also have the sleep option which I now have to do via SSH.

I installed this to 2 of my windows computers and damn its nice to shutdown TV, AV and put my HT-PC to sleep with single button of TV:s remote

My other computer (connected ethernet) works fine but my other computer (connected WLAN) seems to wake up every time from sleep when monitoring fetches device status. When I turn monitor enable to off my computer doesnt wake randomly anymore. Ive turned only allow magic packet to wake option on in windows and also tried to disable wake on pattern match but they didnt affect to problem.

(CBS) -- It's a not-so-special delivery, from FedEx just in time for the holiday rush. A viral video shows a careless driver throwing a box containing a computer monitor over a fence.

Unfortunately, a YouTube video of a FedEx driver tossing a boxed computer monitor over a fence instead of ringing a customer's buzzer has received more than 3 million views, so it's been getting more play than the efforts of conscientious drivers like Owens.

I installed a CH340 driver on the Zbook (there are multiple download sites available in the internet) and restarted the Zbook. The device manager now showed a Com port, and Lightburn located and initialized my laser engraver immediately, and I had no further operational problems.

tag_hash_108____________ Question 28: May a driver use a computer, tablet, or smartphone (that is not an Automatic On-Board Recording Device) to create, electronically sign, and store the record of duty status (RODS)?

Guidance: Yes. A driver may make manual duty-status entries to a computer, tablet, or smartphone program that is used to generate the graph grid and entries for the record of duty status (RODS) or log book, provided the electronically-generated display (if any) and output includes the minimum information required by 395.8 and is formatted in accordance with that section. The driver must sign the RODS (manually or electronically) at the end of each 24-hour period to certify that all required entries are true and correct.

Driver Booster will quickly spot broken and outdated drivers and finds the exact up-to-date match for the system and devices. The driver database supports more than 6.5 million devices & drivers from 1200+ major brands. Besides, driver sources are all officially from the original hardware manufacturers and have passed the Microsoft WHQL test and IObit test.

Driver Booster provides a safe and stable display driver uninstaller to completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL graphics card drivers, and remove all traces of display driver leftovers. If you want entirely new driver installation, delete drivers that are causing issues, or upgrade GPU from AMD to Nvidia, this driver removal is a must-have.

"Iobit's Driver Booster is the best software available. I have been using all the Iobit Driver Boosters and other Iobit software for many years now. Driver Booster finds outdated drivers for my laptop's and along with using other Iobit software keeps my systems running smoothly. As usual Iobit does it again with a great software that is innovated with new technology to keep my laptop's running at their best."

"One scan a day keeps outdated drivers away. Instead of looking individually for drives updates; just one click on Driver Booster can keep all of my pc's drivers up-to-date! Driver Booster improved my gaming experience especially when it comes to demanding games that needs the latest updates. IObit products showed me the true capability of my pc."

"I was having all sorts of problems with my laptop, finally realizing that it was caused by the drivers. Despite going through all the channels my laptop brand provides I was still having problems. One click of Driver Booster and it found 17 (long) outdated drivers and fixed them just as quickly. My driver problems have disappeared and my laptop is running much better! I will use no other program for my driver needs."

Excellent option for budget/conscious peeps who need a useful driver update utility, beats most of the competition when it comes to extra features and services, such as a game booster, updating game components, and offline driver updates* A solid performer providing consistency and reliability!

I always keep it running while playing because of its "Game Boost" feature, which actually helps in performance, mainly so that your computer focuses its resources on the game you're playing. It's also useful for updating your drivers every few weeks, which you could do manually, but why would you?

Dell Drivers & Downloads website allows you to download drivers, firmware, and some software applications for Dell desktops, laptops, all-in-one computers, docking stations, tablets, mobile devices, printers, monitors, projectors, servers, storage and networking devices, and so on.

SupportAssist scans the Dell computer, detects existing drivers and Dell software utilities that are based on the operating system that is installed on the computer and proposes a list of recommended driver and software updates.

I have a Lenovo P350 desktop that comes with an RTX A5000 GPU. It is running the latest version of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Since I bought it few months ago, I am experiencing intermittent freezing. I would leave my computer executing a task or idling (this does not seem to matter) and it would freeze (the screen would still be a screen on display but it would be frozen, my mouse would have a light on but would not move, and my keyboard would be on but would not click). The freezing seems to be random, meaning it does not happen when executing a certain task (the PC could be just idling) and it happens at random intervals (sometimes a week passes with no freezes and sometimes it could happen in a day). After multiple troubleshooting options (memory test, different kernel versions, reinstalling the OS), I decided to remove my NVIDIA driver as it has been causing me troubles since I bought the PC (more on this below) and the issue is fixed, I have not experienced any freezes in a month.

Concerning the troubles I was having with installing the drivers since I bought the PC, most drivers would not work, after installing them and restarting the PC I would be stuck on an error on boot or simply a black screen, to boot up my computer I would go to recovery mood and purge everything.

If I interpret your explanation correctly your PC was running correctly with driver v530 but then suddenly started to exhibit the freezes? Can you somehow run the GPU in a different machine and maybe Windows to check if it is possibly a Hardware defect?

Sorry for the confusion. My PC was never running correctly. This is the case since I bought it brand new. In the best case, it would run with intermittent freezing. In the worst case, the driver would not work at all. Here is my bug report as requested.

nvidia-bug-report.log (2.5 MB)

Thank you for your answer. I already did that multiple times, the first bug report uploaded was generated after purging all drivers and installing the following Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver | 535.54.03 | Linux 64-bit | NVIDIA

Was Linux pre-installed on the Desktop? Yes, however, I reinstalled it in an attempt to fix this issue if that matters. After reinstallation, I installed the driver from Ubuntu additional drivers and not the website (had to go through multiple ones as some would not install or would cause the PC to be stuck on a black screen on boot), the driver was working but intermittent freezing was happening. e24fc04721
