I am just starting out using firestick. I have used UKexpatVPN because they guarantee you can get all the UK channels and also being trying NordVPN. Certainly we occasionally get a second or so of buffering but nothing overly problematic or annoying but we did have a problem during Eurovision last night which I put down to the amount of streaming that was probably going on.

When I click on sign in, my firestick is displaying code and I am instructed to go to my computer and enter that code after signing in to my BBC account. Only, I cannot figure out where to enter the code and your video implies that this step will not be needed and that you can sign directly into your BBC account. Am I doing something wrong?

How To Download Bbc Iplayer On Firestick

DOWNLOAD 🔥 https://urllio.com/2y2PwW 🔥

Downloaded the iplayer app and the shows show up but when I go to click on any of the shows It states something went wrong loading this programme. It states it is usually a temporary thing and try again later but still having the same issue 24h later. Any solutions?

You will need to update the latest version of the app from another way, but before that you need to clear the data. Go to Settings, then Application, Manage Installed Applications, then click on BBC iplayer, and then select Clear Data. Now launch the app once again and you will see the update message appears.

Hi

using bit.ly/bbciplayer75 I keep getting a message is should use https instead of http. Although I didt put any http in at all. Is the link still correct? I did do everything in regards to developer options etc.

Cheers

I'm having problems trying to send downloaded tv from the bbc iplayer ipad app over airplay to an Amazon firestick tv. If I just stream rather than download on the iPad and send over AirPlay then it is ok but not if it has been downloaded first. I want to download first as my internet connection is not great for streaming, it buffers and I can't use anything else whilst streaming so had the idea of downloading first then sending to the tv using an Amazon firestick. I'm not fussed if the download takes a while as it then won't buffer afterwards. I get a message on the ipad that the programme can't be played. If I perform the same but use a borrowed Apple TV it works as I would expect. Has anyone managed to get this working over a firestick?

If I open iPlayer on my iPad, choose a programme, play then select AirPlay to the firestick then it works. If I download the programme first and press play it starts to playback on the iPad. I choose AirPlay to the fire stick and get a message on the iPad iPlayer saying "We're sorry - this downloaded programme cannot be played".

Get a refund! I've had a direct email from the BBC iPlayer technical department regarding my issue (same as you). They say google hasn't promoted their Chromecast for BBC (security) certification, thus ' not compatible with this device'. There's also no Channel 4 on Chromecast - same issue. Apparently google don't get on with these platforms so no guarantee for the future. My whole life is google but going over to Amazon firestick for the same price, as they has everything. Just got to learn 'alexa'.

Would be good to finally have someone from Google explain what the hell they are doing as my front screen is littered like yours with bbc iplayer shows as we are Uk customers yet no app and Google appear to be the problem according to BBC would be nice if they finally have some sort of service to UK customers

I buy from John Lewis, so refunds and returns are no problem. Just use the phrase 'unfit for purpose' or 'false advertising' to any retailer. In this instance they are 'guilty by association' as they are mis-selling goods and services and you have the right outside of the standard refund time window to return it, albeit for a credit note. I've bought the amazon firestick 4K for a better price. Google is losing out in the entertainment arena.

My whole life is google - from the 'gateway' of an email account, google Drive, google duo (facetime) through to lights, thermostat and hot water. The only blind spot for google is entertainment! For music and TV I use amazon. What a slip-up when conquering the planets tech. I recommend binning chromecast and just go over to amazon firestick for hassle free (UK) viewing. Same pricing and quality.

I side loaded the iplayer apk yesterday and a few hours later they released the play store version. I think I'll look for, and side load, the All4 apk and you can all thank me when the official app is released later in the day.

I am really struggling to watch iplayer on Samsung TV and also on Firestick plugged into the same. Buffering is relentless! The TV is linked to the router by a cable. I have got latest firmware and have tried a reset and unplugging numerous times. Download speed is 60MBPS on average. Buffering from hotspot on phone too.

Model is AU7100 43 TV

Thanks

By any chance do you have a number of devices connecting at the same time, just in case there are bandwidth issues, though realise this may not be the case. is it just iplayer you have the issue with, are other apps ok.

my trusty ps3 is telling me as of 8th, Beeb are dropping iplayer off if it. Fair enough, ps3 is long in the tooth these days. So what next for iplayer? Chromecast? amazon fire stick? does the android iplayer app play nicely with one of these? or is there a better way? now tv box or? Or I guess maybe another PVR that does iplayer as well perhaps?

I can view bbc tv on iplayer out of uk on my pc but i cannot use my Samsung tablet. Any way around this problem?

I know bbc require using android greater than 4.1 which I do but still am not able to connect. Tablet was working on

november but not now. Will I have togive upon my tablet or just use my pc?

Even though I have a Fire TV stick 4K, have plenty of bandwidth, and have joined the iplayer beta for me it will not go past avc/1080p (I waited a few mins to see if it would adaptively jump up in quality)

Hi HectorG12 welcome to the Roku roundabout. It is just incredible that Roku customer services can continue to hold the line that the sticks are fine its a BBC problem. The sticks have a computer chip inside runs using ROKU software. There is clearly a glitch in some sticks that cause a problem when iplayer runs. I suspect ROKU are also stringing the BBC along when they tell the BBC that Roku will/have release an update.

anyone else found problems with iplayer and surfshark. It worked immaculately until recently but now it won't on the stick. I have a backup VPN that is working but would prefer to see surfshark going given the length of the sub I have with them

Anyone having issues with BBC iPlayer today? Can't login on any firestick, My LG TV's or XBox. I get a "You've been signed out" message with no option to sign in. I can log in on my phone and PC - all connected to the same router with dns4me set up on it. Was working perfectly last night. ff782bc1db
