Voicemail transcription (beta) shows your messages transcribed into text. Transcription is limited to voicemails in English received on your iPhone with iOS 10 or later, and transcription depends on the quality of the recording. To view a transcribed voicemail, tap Voicemail in the Phone app.

Is there a good way to completely reset a voicemail so that when the user dials *97 it immediately prompts them for their name, then unavailable greeting, their busy greeting, and a new pin? Just like when the system was initially new and the user dialed *97 for the first time?

Under the Settings/Voicemail Admin/Usage tabs you can clean up various things like recordings and old voicemails and passwords for individual mailboxes or the whole PBX. Set the password to the extension number and it will give the user the initial tutorial

Scenario: External caller is answered by receptionist who then transfers the caller to extension 201. Extension 201 will ring forever with VM never picking up. If receptionist calls 201 and no one answers it goes to voicemail. If external caller calls the DID of extension 201 they get voicemail after it rings for a bit. Why does the VM not respond for a transferred call? Thanks

Called a DID that rang into ext 225 and was transferred to 221, after 10 seconds I got the unavailable voicemail.

Internal call goes into Queue.

Call is answered, then blind or attended transferred to another internal extension

The call never goes to voicemail, and the original caller doesnt hear ringing during that time. Only silence. Then after about 1 minute, the call disconnects.

I actually discovered something interesting. I had installed the NextDNS DNS profile on iOS. As soon as I removed it, my messages appeared on the voicemail. Even if I am behind a router configured to use NextDNS. So I suspect NextDNS is not blocking anything it should not. The issue seems to come from iOS and the way it uses DNS configuration. Could someone confirm ?

Based on Console logs, my T-Mobile iPhone will only use a cellular interface to send Visual Voicemail (VVM) requests out on, or retrieve them over. In my VVM testing only interface "pdp_ip2" is used and it does not support public (non T-Mobile) networks. When you change your greeting or after a voicemail is left, the phone looks up the VVM address above to access the voicemail servers (like any other request). However, because VVM is the requesting app, iOS sends that NextDNS lookup over "pdp_ip2". And since the destination address is to a non-T-Mobile IP, T-Mobile silently drops the request. The phone repeatedly retires, and then gives up silently. The only way I could force a visible error was to record a new greeting and try to save it. After exactly one minute of trying, VVM returns an error ("The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.mobilephone error 1035.)".

6. This will return several entires with details of your connection and voicemail account. The full path from mine was "e5.vvm.mstore.msg.t-mobile.com" but I didnt include "e5" when I excluded the domain in the profile.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your visual voicemail on your iPhone. Based on the information you've provided, it seems that NextDNS may be causing the issue with the eSIM voicemail notifications not coming through.

NextDNS is a DNS filtering service that can block certain websites or services based on user-defined rules. It's possible that NextDNS is blocking the notification for eSIM voicemail, which is why you're not receiving the notification.

To troubleshoot the issue, you could try disabling NextDNS temporarily and see if the eSIM voicemail notifications come through. If they do, then it's likely that NextDNS is the culprit. You can then try adjusting the NextDNS rules to allow the voicemail notification to come through.

I hope this helps resolve the issue you're experiencing with your eSIM voicemail notifications. If you continue to experience problems, you may want to contact your carrier's support team for further assistance.

I accidentally left a voicemail to my boss while my phone was in my jacket pocket. It accidentally pocket dialed. I feel so stupid. Its a convo that would definitely look bad for me if she heard it. I talked to the microsoft IT department and they said that if I have left a voicemail for someone it would also show up for me in my voicemail tab.

I got an email from my boss with subject line voicemail (5 minutes) saying they were out of office and will call respond when in office. I was given the instruction to delete this email and it should delete the voicemail left. I'm just very scared. I will never stay logged into teams on my phone ever again. This is such a horrifying accident.

To access mailbox, dial 222 on-campus or (310) 825-2222. Then enter your mail box number followed by the # sign, and then your security code followed by the # sign. The first time you access your voicemail box, you should use the default (8252) security code.

By default, you aren't asked for your password when checking your voicemail from your device. If you have your outgoing caller ID blocked, you're required to enter your password when you call your voicemail from your device. T-Mobile recommends that you turn on your voicemail password for added security.

Voicemails are deleted if the auto-save period is reached. The auto-save period can be from 14 to 30-days, depending on the type of voicemail. If you hear "You have (# of vm) voicemail message(s) which is due to automatic deletion..." check out the steps on this page to save the messages.

After you've listened to your voicemail message, select the 9 key to save the message. You can repeat this to save the message in your voicemail box before the auto-save period runs out. To retrieve the saved message and save it to a different location, set up your T-Mobile account online, and follow the Use voicemail on a computer steps on this page. You can save a voicemail if it is less than 30 days from the day it was originally deposited or when it was last saved.

If you're listening to your voicemail and delete it, don't hang up! A voicemail message can be retrieved before the same call is disconnected. Once the call has ended there is no way to retrieve the deleted voicemail message.

The migration will automatically delete any voicemail messages over 30-days old, played, unplayed, or saved, from the old platform. The voicemail platform migration is bringing an improved and updated experience to T-Mobile voicemail. Save your messages before the migration to prevent automatic deletion.

Unfortunately, Windows devices do not have an option to back up voicemail. You can play them on speakerphone and record them using a laptop/PC microphone or you can use the Save instructions on this page if the message is less than 30-days old.
