The logo of pen-drive is very monotonous . Let's change it and make this cool.
You can see I have changed it already in my pendrive. So, let's know how to do that. No software required!
You have to simply download a image from google or can select a photo you like to set as the logo ( e.g. your own photo ) of your pendrive and take that to desktop by copy-paste .
...like I have downloaded this image here.
Thereafter, you have to right click on that image & click on edit.
You can see the image will be opened in MS Paint ( 1st image below / 2nd if it is horizontal phone). There you have to crop that image to square or almost square and save.
You have to be specially careful while saving it. Go to save as and do that. See the second image (below)/[ 3rd if phone held horizontally]
You have to name the image as you wish [ like I have named it 'miles' ] in the text box of "File name". It will be better if you save it in desktop.
Now the IMPORATNT THING : Do not forget to drop down the selection bar of "save as type " and select the option "24-bit Bitmap"
Then save it.
This kind of Alert message may pop out, you have to press OK .
Now you can see a .bmp image file is being shown in the desktop.
Now you have to make a text file.
Press right on desktop and select New; Then select New Text Document.
You have to write a code in it as shown below .
You have to type :
[autorun]
icon = <name of image>.bmp
You can copy this code from here.
Remember to put the name of image that you have saved in the place of < name of image >.
Again while saving it you have to be careful.
You have to save it very precisely with only this this name :-- autorun.inf
Then click on the drop down button and select All files
Now you are almost done . See you have got two files now in desktop( you had to save both of them in desktop).
Now you have to cut those files and paste those into your pendrive.
now Refresh the pendrive and eject it. Thereafter, you have to re-enter the pendrive.
Ta-da ! your logo has been changed!
Now you can show it to your friends to show off.
Hey, wait wait ! The two files look weird, no?
Besides, those two files will easily show your trick of changing the font.
SO you need to simply Hide those.
Easy pissy.
