The vast majority of cellphone-using teens say their phone is a way to just pass time, with nine-in-ten saying they often or sometimes use it this way, according to a Pew Research Center survey of 13- to 17-year-olds conducted in 2018. Similarly large shares of teen cellphone users say they at least sometimes use their phone to connect with other people (84%) or learn new things (83%).

But while phones are a way for teens to connect with other people, they can also be a way to avoid face-to-face interactions. Roughly four-in-ten teen cellphone users (43%) say they often or sometimes use their phone to avoid interacting with people. This is truer for teen girls than teen boys. Roughly half of teen girls who have access to a cellphone (54%) say they often or sometimes use their mobile device to avoid social interaction, while 31% of teen boys report doing the same.

This same survey found that around seven-in-ten teens (72%) say they often or sometimes check for messages or notifications as soon as they wake up. More than half of teens (56%) associate the absence of their phone with at least one of three emotions: loneliness, being upset or feeling anxious. Girls are more likely than boys to feel anxious or lonely without their phone.

Teens have mixed views about whether they are on their phones too much. Some 54% of teens worry they spend too much time on their phone, and of those who say they spend too much time on the phone, roughly half (53%) say they have ever cut back on the time they spend on their cellphone.

The Mobile Pass feature on the new My Epic App means more laps and fewer lines. Using Bluetooth Low Energy technology; it scans you at the lift hands-free, straight from your pocket. So now you can skip the ticket window, and get straight to the fun part.

Powered by advanced AI and resort experts, My Epic Assistant will be available for the 2024/25 season to answer questions about Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone. The technology will be expanded to additional resorts in future seasons.

Using a Physical Pass or Lift Ticket Card? Your lift vertical and lifts rode will track automatically where available. To track all your on-mountain stats with GPS, turn on tracking in the My Epic app each day.

The Mobile Pass & Lift Tickets feature in the My Epic app is available at the 36 owned and operated resorts in the U.S.: Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek Resort, Breckenridge Ski Resort, Keystone Resort, Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Park City Mountain, Stevens Pass Ski Resort, Kirkwood Mountain Resort, Northstar California Resort, Heavenly Mountain Resort, Mount Snow Resort, Stowe Mountain Resort, Okemo Mountain Resort, Hunter Mountain, Mount Sunapee Resort, Attitash Mountain Resort, Wildcat Mountain, Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride, Liberty Mountain Resort, Roundtop Mountain Resort, Whitetail Resort, Jack Frost Big Boulder, Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Hidden Valley Resort, Laurel Mountain, Wilmot Mountain, Paoli Peaks, Snow Creek Ski Area, Hidden Valley Ski Area, Brandywine Ski Resort, Boston Mills Ski Resort, Mad River Mountain, Mt. Brighton Ski Area, Afton Alps Ski Area and Alpine Valley Ski Area.

No, My Epic app nor Mobile Pass will work at partner resorts on the Epic Pass, like the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies or Telluride Ski Resort. You will need to bring your physical pass with you when visiting any of our partner resorts. See a full list of partner resorts here.

Once you have logged in and activated Bluetooth, there will be a green check mark underneath your pass or lift ticket(s) on the home screen or Pass & Tickets screen. This check mark means that your pass or lift ticket(s) will scan appropriately in the lift line using Bluetooth technology. We encourage you to check your access each day by ensuring the green check mark is present.

If you are using Mobile Pass & Lift Tickets in the My Epic app to track activity and record your ski/ride stats, you must enable GPS tracking when prompted during the login process. The app will not track activity automatically and requires active enablement of the tracking feature.

To track your stats for the day when using Mobile Pass & Lift Tickets, navigate to the tracking feature in the My Epic app and select "Start GPS Tracking." You will then be prompted to enable the My Epic app to use your location and to turn on GPS functionality.

Activate Resort Charge in the My Epic app by tapping on the pass/lift ticket image on the Home screen or Pass & Tickets screen. Then tap "Resort Charge," and then add your credit card to your account. Resort Charge through the My Epic app will work the same way it does with a physical pass or lift ticket card.

Each guest will need to log in to the app and complete the prompted setup instructions, before their first Mobile Pass or Lift Ticket(s) can scan at a lift. Afterward, the app can be minimized and will function in the background on your phone.

All passes and lift tickets associated with your email account that you purchased for other guests will be able to be sent via text or email to other guests for their use once they download the My Epic app and set up accounts.

It is recommended that you carry either your physical pass/lift ticket card OR your Mobile Pass/Lift Ticket (one or the other). If you carry both, whichever is scanned first each day will be the active lift access type for the day.

What if I don't want to use Mobile Pass / Can I still use a physical pass?

Physical passes still work at our resorts. You may still get a physical Pass either when you purchase for next season upon checkout/completing your purchase, or in-resort at any of our guest service/ticket office locations.

Keep in mind that the Bluetooth technology used in the My Epic app is designed for low energy usage. That being said, we have added free charging stations in many resorts in convenient locations, and guests are always welcome to visit our ticket windows to get a physical card printed.

The My Epic app has similar functionality that EpicMix had with new and upgraded features that will make your on-mountain experience even better. Most notably, My Epic will include a new Mobile Pass & Lift Tickets technology. It allows guests to buy their pass or lift ticket(s) online, activate it on the My Epic app, put their phone in their pocket, and get scanned, hands free, via Bluetooth technology specifically designed for low energy usage.

No, if you already have the EpicMix app on your device there is no need to download another app. If you have automatic updates turned on, the My Epic app will automatically update on your device with your regular app updates. Otherwise, you can manually initiate an app update through the Apple App Store and Google Play App Store.

Mobile Pass & Lift Tickets will not be available at Whistler Blackcomb for the 2023/24 season. This is because the current gate system at Whistler Blackcomb is not compatible with the Bluetooth TM technology required for Mobile Pass & Lift Tickets. We are evaluating options to bring this innovative capability to life at Whistler Blackcomb in the future.

Guests planning to visit Whistler Blackcomb must bring their physical pass or lift ticket card for lift access. If you forget your physical pass or lift ticket card at home, please visit our Guest Services locations on-resort and we will be happy to print you a new one.

I'm trying to log into my Google Workspace admin account but I'm stuck at "We've detected unusual activity on the account that you're trying to access. To continue, please follow the instructions below."

When I try to put my phone number, I get an error "This phone number has already been used too many times for verification.". When I try to put a different phone number, I get an error "This phone number cannot be used for verification."

This is a community site of people who run Google Workspace for their organizations around the globe. There isn't anyone here who can help with phone number verification issues, or consumer Gmail accounts more generally. You might want to try

Praveen, applying to different universities with your admin console doesn't seem like the usual process that most people take. The original topic here was about logging into the Admin Console and the account associated with that. I know this is unsolicited advice but I would actually recommend you use a dedicated @gmail.com account to apply to universities unless the owner of the company you are utilizing their accounts for this project has given you permission to be doing something like this. (Most company owners are very careful on what they allow their employees/staff/volunteers use their accounts for.)
