We've had the same problem for 6+ weeks, and Comcast is doing little to help. I have spoken with them weekly, in addition to showtime and have probably spent more than 7 hours of my precious time talking to representatives who can't help, and honestly, don't seem to care. My calls are often 'disconnected,' but I really think the Comcast rep just hangs up on me. It seems that Comcast is somehow blocking your ability to stream showtime anytime if you subscribe to showtime with anyone but Comcast. They should be ashamed of themselves as a company. I can stream showtime anytime with all my potable devices (iphone, ipad) using other internet providers, just not mine, which, unfortunately is Comcast. I suggested to the Comcast supervisor that I spoke with today that they should provide us with a complimentary subscription to Showtime anytime through Comcast until they fix their internet issue. We'll see what happens. i really hate this company and which I could use another provider.

Thanks! Been working on it all morning and it appears I was able to fix it by disabling parental controls (circle app) in my Netgear Orbi router and then restarting the router. I think parental controls was somehow blocking showtime anytime.

I was having a problem viewing any content on my app on the IPhone or my Amazon Firestick. Went to the computer and logged into showtimeanytime.com. In the upper right hand corner hover on the little head an shoulder icon. That opens a drop down box with viewing preferences. Click on viewing pref. This opens a screen with viewing preferences at the top. There is a sentence regarding updating controls. At the end of the sentence hover over the word Verizon and click on it. You will be asked to sign in with your Verizon account name and password. Make sure You sign in with the primary account sign in not the sub users account. It must be the primary account. It will take you to a TV management page. Scroll down to the box called parental controls. Click on the word manage. It will open and you will see an age line with certain ages blocked. Click on NONE and the restriction is removed and the app will work. I too worked with Verizon. Nothing worked until I went to the app itself. Hope this works for you.

Found the solution. The parental controls is not a Verizon barrier, but rather a Showtimeanytime barrier. To change the default parental controls for a subaccount (which defaults to restrict all non-children programming viewing), you must login to the showtimeanytime page (www.showtimeanytime.com) with your primary Verizon credentials. Once logged in, you can access the parental controls under your account settings (hover over your username and you will see Settings link in top right hand corner), which controls the parental controls of your subaccounts.

I can't get showtime anytime specifically and also a few other streaming services to play anything with google chrome on (arch) Linux or any Linux. They work just fine with windows so it's not an account issue, its a plugin issue as far as I can tell. I can log in just fine and after I've tried to play something it shows that I watched or at least tried to watch anyway and how much time is left(the whole episode/movie length), but nothing ever plays. When trying to get widevine, which I'm guessing is what I need for these services to work, it says chrome for Linux isn't supported....

Is there anything I can do to get showtime anytime working in arch nativity in google chrome for Linux? I've seen write-ups(that were possibly old and outdated) to get a bunch of streaming services such as showtime anytime, HBO to go and others working, but that was for Ubuntu and it was using wine. I'm trying to get that to work as a temporary fix(installing wine atm) just so I don't have to keep switching OS's just to watch a show. If anyone has a better remedy(that doesn't require pirating shows on services that are paid for already), preferably a way for chrome Linux to work I'd be very interested.

I really thought the drm was the issue, but I installed the chromium package with widevine from the link above and it didn't make a difference. Once again Netflix works just fine, I made sure flash was also installed an enabled, I even disabled all extensions... Aside from windows being windows I don't have a problem using google chrome in it to watch showtime anytime, even with all my extensions enabled it just works.

My showtime anytime issue is not with just this laptop, it also doesn't work on my chromebook that I've installed Arch on or any of my other computers with either ubuntu or fedora. I feel really silly now, I went to install that chromium package with widevine on Arch on the chromebook only to find out google chrome had widevine already. I think its time for a break from computers for a bit, seeing as I was trying to install something that was apparently already installed. I think my anger is getting the best of me and I'm just not thinking anymore....

for what it's worth, I just tried the showtime anytime site, and I didn't have any luck. But I didn't get any errors about the browser being unsupported, or requiring flash, or any other message that one would normally get on such sites. The videos just start loading then it returns to the main screen. This looks more like an issue with the site than there being a flash or DRM issue.

I love that it just works with windows.... install google chrome and flash, login and click play. No setup, no hours of research, no hours of fiddling and frustration... I like linux way more than windows, but it's these little things that stop me from dumping microsoft completely, and it's these little things that are stopping linux from taking all M$'s plug n play dependent customers.

The solution? Instead of going to www.showtimeanytime.com/activate, I went into the SA app on my iPad - there's an option for activating devices there. I selected Apple TV, entered the activation code and was in.
