I have an upcoming group call but currently where I'm located at my wifi has terrible service. I've used my laptop and wifi before but it kicks me out of video calls constantly. I've used my phone and it's 4g lte data at the same spot, with the zoom app and it works really well. The only issue with using the phone app is that its difficult to see several members at once and you can only see one member speaking at a time. I want to be able to interact with the whole group. I also don't like the idea of holding my phone out for an hour long call where my face needs to be visible. (I can't mute it or hide my face) I'm thinking of using my phone's data and using it as a hotspot and have my laptop connect to it. Would this be a good idea? Are hotspots powerful enough for this?

Purchased new HP laptop and the pinch zoom is driving me insane, old laptop had an option to turn off via the Settings for the mouse/touchpad under device settings. In replying to your question, the IT folks are just telling you how you would turn off pinch zoom if the option to do so were still present. They don't seem to realize that for many users IT'S NOT THERE ANYMORE. It's been removed as a configuratino option from the touchpad settings. I have the same problem. The pinch zoom was driving me nuts and there is no longer any way to turn it off. I tried for weeks to find a solution. I even found some instructions on how to disable it in the Windows Registry but that didn't work either.
