she does not use pandora like most do on their phone (where it keeps playing while you do other things) she wants to go in, listen to her tunes while it's gui is up, then exit to enjoy complete silence again.

With the 2308.1.1 release, we believe we have fixed the issue where the app would begin to automatically play music after your phone restarts. If you haven't already, please be sure to update to 2308.1.1.

Specifically, if audible music begins to play after rebooting your phone. In some cases you may see the player notification appear on your mobile device, however, there is no music playing. While this experience is similar, we'll need clarification if music is actually playing from the device.

Oddly, this had never happened to me before either June or July on either device, ever. After an update, it started happening on both. I have to close out the app fully every time if I don't want Pandora to start playing music with the apps minimized and paused and phone/tablet case closed.

I had this happen to me the other night... startled the hell out of my wife & I when Imagine Dragons started blasting out of my phone in the middle of the night. Last night I made sure to turn the media volume off & left phone out of our bedroom. This morning I noticed there was an android update available so I let that install & after my phone restarted Pandora started to play. I looked at the open apps & Pandora wasn't one of them. My bluetooth wasn't connected to any devices, either. If this continues I'll have to get rid of Pandora & cancel my subscription. This is on a Galaxy S20 SM-G981V Pandora version 2308.1

Just launched on its own again. Didn't start playing, but in my notifications dropdown I saw it there ready to play... Haven't played Pandora on my phone all day. I even turned Auto-Play off in the settings. Is it syncing with my tablet or something? Maybe I'll try uninstalling & re-installing it.

Very similar to the post about Pandora just randomly turning on by itself, my post is in regards to it happening ONLY when I restart my Samsung Galaxy S32 smartphone. It seems that after the phone is up and running for a few minutes, Pandora starts playing my playlist. This start within the last week here in 09/2023. Model : SM-A326U One UI - 5.1 Andriod - 13

I haven't had an issue since yesterday afternoon. I went into Apps & clicked on Pandora & used the force stop option to fully close the app. Since then I haven't had it randomly self-launch. Just listened to music for the past hour. Swiped the app out to stop it & made sure it wasn't still open in the notifications swipe down screen. I'll report back tomorrow.

I had to uninstall the app, it kept randomly launching itself at all hours of the day! I had to shut it down at least 4 times today and it just launched itself again as it sat on the table next to me! Worse I figured I would give the phone a reboot, and guess what? It launched itself again as soon as the phone rebooted, so uninstalled until it's fixed!

Hi, I am having the same issue. The pandora app is open ad soon as I turn my phone on. I don't know if this is due to having a system update recently or the Pandora app as I see alot of other people are having the same issue recently. I have an Android, Samsung note 20 5g which has a T-Mobile carrier.

1. Sometimes it will occur when my phone locks but the small Pandora panel will appear if I tap the screen; however, the features don't work. In other words I can't start Pandora again from that panel. Other times the music will stop at the beginning of a new song, or even as another song is playing (the Pandora full screen displays) but again, trying to resume the song doesn't work. The only thing that does work is to close Pandora, reopen it, and press play.

I have a Galaxy S21 and am using the free Pandora app. Whenever I am using the app on my phone and the display times out, Pandora goes to the next song then stops. To get the next song going, I have to unlock my phone. Pandora then works normally until the display times out, again. This happens if I'm listening at home on my phone or when bluetoothed into my car audio. Can't find a setting to address this. Any ideas about how to get Pandora to continue playing after the display has timed out? Thanks in advance!

Then a song will play as expected; however, once the song ends another one will not automatically play, unless the screen is awake (like when I'm & have the map app open). It happens whether connected to my car, headphones, or just playing on the phone's speaker. I have a pandora plus account.

A fairly bizarre issue, but PandoraOne starts to play randomly on my iPhone 7 plus (plenty of space) without being user initiated (I can be in the other room or in an important meeting with my phone in my bag). I contacted Pandora without any resolution, so I am checking on here to see if anyone has experienced the same thing.

The strangest thing about it is that even after I force quit Pandora on the phone, it still comes back and plays music after a few minutes. I tried a powering the phone off and on, and a hard reset, yet it continues to play music at random times. It has yet to do it at night when the watch is not on my wrist, so I am thinking that the watch is somehow the culprit.

Interesting thing today... on three occasions when I walked away from my phone (while wearing my Pebble), I returned to find Pandora had started playing. My thinking is that each time, my Pebble went out of BluTooth range of the phone, and then when it re-paired, it started Pandora. Just a guess, but if that's all it easy, it seems like it would be a pretty easy fix... c'mon, Pandora.

I've had the same problem but I don't have an Apple Watch, I have a pebble. The weirdest thing is that I go to close the app and my phone doesn't show the app as being open. I'll open the app just so I can stop the music from playing. The only thing that seems to keep this from happening is to delete pandora and reinstall it the next time I want to use it.

I think it has nothing to do with the Apple watch. I don't have an Apple watch and have this issue with my iPhone 5 10.2. What is annoying is that one has to first open Pandora to close it. The application plays without it even having been opened on my phone. Away from wifi you can turn off cellular date in Settings of Pandora to stop it. In range of wifi I don't know how to stop it.

Per my post on 4/7 ("We believe there is a fix for this in the latest update."), Pandora has updated their app to address the issue. If you haven't downloaded this update, you should update to Pandora version 8.3.2 and give it a try. For now, at least, this has resolved the automatic launching of Pandora on my phone. I'd be curious if anyone has done this update and experienced otherwise.

Me too, iPhone 6 here, both iOS and Pandora up-to-date. Can't be the Apple Watch, because I don't have one. I notice it happens a lot when I exit my car and my phone breaks the Bluetooth connection, but it also happens at random times, like just now, which is what finally prompted me to do a search and I found this thread. I've taken to keeping my volume down all the time, which is annoying, to put it mildly...

I Also have the issue on my new iPhone 7. I do not have an Apple Watch but I do have my hearing aids synced with my phone. It's really annoyang when my phone is in another room and Pandora starts playing on its own directly through my hearing aids. I hope someone figures this out soon or Pandora is going to lose another customer.

I have this problem with an Android phone and no watch. It just randomly launches and starts playing music in the middle of meetings. I do have Bluetooth on all the time so that it automatically connects to my car. Maybe its detecting wireless headphones in the office from someone else and thats launching it. It never launches at home where I don't have any bluetooth headphones.

On Charge 6, use the YouTube Music controls app to control music playing in the YouTube Music app on your phone. Navigate between playlists, skip or replay songs, and adjust the volume from your tracker.

On certain Fitbit devices, use the Spotify app to control the music playing in the Spotify app on your phone, computer, or other Spotify Connect device. Navigate between playlists, like songs and switch between devices from your Fitbit device. To see which devices support the Spotify app, visit the Fitbit Gallery.

I am constantly receiving the following message whenever I try to link my Spotify or Pandora music app to GOOGLE HOME APP. "Something went wrong - Try again". I tried power off the iphone and uninstalled the Spotify and Pandora Music apps - power down - linking to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure to turn on Local Network Access for the Google Home app on your phone settings. Here's how: Privacy > Local Network > Google Home app. Try reinstalling your Google Home and Google Assistant app to make sure they're updated. If the issue persist, give these steps a try:

Hello we leave in a few days. We will not be getting any wifi packages while cruising. Has anyone used pandora or Spotify whiling cruising. Do you know how it works? I don't want any crazy roaming charges ? Thank you!!

One of the best gems for what you want to do is Spotify Pro. $10 a month, downloadable music from your playlists and the ability for it to update your lists like Top Pop, or Top Country when you are at home and wifi is affordable. It's a must for us when we travel.

Also, if you ever have a burning desire to start a DJ and emcee company (don't, trust me) then the music from Spotify Pro is visible on DJAY software on your MacBook and works on Pioneer DJ Controllers, because, inquiring minds want to know...

All the big cell companies have international plans which cover most Caribbean islands. AT&T is $10 a day for unlimited, text, cell, and data. It's tough to use the Hub with the phone in the safe. I also listen to music while reading and sunning. e24fc04721
