So I was having a difficult time deleting old boarding passes from Apple Wallet. The instructions posted here said not to go into Settings > Wallet to remove them. This is true. They instructed to open the actual app, scroll to the bottom of the list of cards, passes, etc., then choose the Edit Passes button and delete them from there. This is also true.

The step I was missing was opening the Wallet via the homepage icon and accessing the Wallet via the double press on the side button are two very different things. I thought it was the same but it's not. Double-pressing the side button brings you to a place for you to use the cards, tickets, etc. This does not give you options to manage the list. You must click on the app icon from the home screen.

How Do I Download Boarding Passes To My Iphone Wallet

I have 2 tigerair boarding passes in my wallet which I can't remove. There is no option from within settings/wallet & apple pay to remove these as they are not showing. There was also no option within the Tigerair app and I have since deleted the app and the boarding passes are still there.

Thanks for responding back. If you're going into Settings then Wallet you won't be able to delete a boarding pass that way. You have to open the Wallet app itself on your Home screen and then delete the boarding passes. Open the Wallet app and then use the instructions I provided in the previous post for removing passes.

I fly American Airlines all the time. When I get the boarding pass through the app on my phone, I have the option to add the boarding pass to my wallet. I hit the add button and the boarding pass gets added to my wallet on my phone. My understanding is that the wallet on my watch should be updated automatically as well. However the boarding pass never shows up on my watch. I have an iPhone 12 and a series 8 watch. Both have been updated to the latest OS.

Some one in the forums suggested going into the AA app and sharing the boarding pass with myself through messages. I did that once and it worked. Ever time after that I have tried to do that and my phone says that iMessage needs to be enabled. I have checked it several times and it is enabled.

Paswes/money cards are NOT automariucally reflected/add from the phone to the watch. YOu have to do that manually. Sometimes when you initially setup the watch the setup will ask you if you want to add any card/passes on your phone to the watch.

But on my most recent trip, to Austin for the ASMC Summit for independent Apple resellers, everything just worked. The United app knew about my itinerary once I was logged in, and the Delta app figured it out once I entered the ticket number. Both notified me when I could check in, and made it easy to do that and add my boarding passes to Wallet. iOS 10 and Wallet were smart enough to display a constant notification on the lock screen during the time I needed it, a single swipe brought up the boarding pass, and it stayed on screen while I waited in line, regardless of Raise to Wake.

I was a road warrior and agree that using Apple wallet can be great. That said, ALWAYS carry a paper copy of your itinerary with you. You never when your phone starts misbehaving, or runs out of power (evening flights), etc.

Sometimes, though, I found it hard lugging a carry-on with one hand, toting a small computer backpack, and then juggling the phone with my non-dominant hand to show the flight attendant my seat assignment--it almost fell between the jetway and the plane (would have landed on the tarmac!). That would not have been good.

Another consideration, if traveling internationally I may be tempted to backup my phone using iTunes and restore it to factory settings just to prevent a possible Customs and Immigration privacy invasion, not so much because I'm paranoid but more out of principle.

I mean really all that trouble.

Just print it out, fold it up and put in your wallet. Sometimes all this tech stuff just gets in the way of life. Flying is already stressful-why deal with this. Another headache.

I always found the paper boarding passes much more stressful. You have to remember to print them out, put them in a location where you won't forget (and my wallet isn't nearly big enough to hold an 8.5x11 sheet of paper), and then constantly be sorting through them to get the right one for the right leg of the trip. Plus, you have to take them out and put them back repeatedly as you go through security and (sometimes) check in, and if you have any other papers with you, it's easy for them to get mixed up together. And of course, paper boarding passes don't update with new gate or time information.

I used the iPhone for a few years and the process has got much simpler. Now I use the watch, less juggling things but some airlines have code readers that you cannot get your wrist under, hopefully they will upgrade soon.

Yes, the scanners do have to be the right orientation for the watch. I didn't have trouble with that on this trip, but on some previous one, it was clear that I wouldn't be able to use the watch and I had to revert back to the iPhone.

Adam, since the CBP is now demanding access to the phones of returning US Citizens, you might as well get the app "Mobile Passport" so you can just give them your phone immediately before 3 of their goons tackle you.

I often book flights on Southwest for my wife, son, and me. When I do that, I get one itinerary number and Southwest won't let me put the boarding passes on my phone. To fix this, I need to call Southwest and ask them to give each family member a separate itinerary number. They are willing to do this and it fixes the problem.

You've got your flight coming up tomorrow and you know your boarding pass is one of the most important things you'll be taking on the trip. You know all of the information by heart. You're boarding a Delta airplane at 4:00 PM. But, if you lose your boarding pass, you could be in big trouble. The good news is that you can add that Delta boarding pass to your Apple Wallet on your iPhone or Apple Watch. Or a United boarding pass, or whatever boarding pass you need to get where you want to go. Here's everything you need to know.

After checking in online with Safari or Chrome (or whatever web browser you use), the airline can email your boarding pass. Apple Mail users can have the pass automatically added to their Apple Wallet, or you can manually add it if necessary.

If you are unable to add your boarding pass, ticket, or other pass to the Wallet app, reach out to the issuer to confirm compatibility with the Wallet app. Adding a pass to the Wallet app on your iPhone also adds it to the Wallet app on your paired Apple Watch.

Step 1: Open your pass from within the Wallet app. You can find and open the Wallet app, or double-press the side button on your iPhone. If you have an older iPhone with a Home button, double-press that.

Once you have saved your mobile boarding pass into Apple Wallet, simply open the app and present it to airline staff to be tapped or scanned by the contactless reader. Remember to save each boarding pass individually for flight check-in and delete old passes to avoid confusion. It's also a good idea to have a paper copy of your itinerary as backup.

You can play YouTube videos in the background on Android and iPhone devices very easily if you're a YouTube Premium subscriber. Just start playing a video, turn off the screen or navigate away and it'll continue playing, no trouble. But playing videos in the background is also doable even without a premium subscription. You can use picture in picture, or a specific browser.

If you don't see any flight information on the Home screen, tap "Check In" to check in with your confirmation code and last name. You can also tap "Sign in" in the upper right to pull up trips saved in your HawaiianMiles account.

If you are departing from Hawaii, the app will send you to the mobile version of HawaiianAirlines.com to complete check-in. If you are flying to Hawaii on an International flight, you need to check-in in person at the airport.

On the boarding pass screen, iOS users may tap"Add to Wallet" in the lower left. Then select which passengers' boarding passes you would like to add to your Apple Wallet. "Add to Wallet" is not yet available for Android devices.

The app can only display boarding passes for flights that are operated by Hawaiian Airlines. If the flight is operated by another carrier, you will not be able to access those boarding passes through the app.

Check-in for certain kinds of reservation is not supported on the app. If the app directs you to HawaiianAirlines.com for check-in, follow the steps on the screen to check-in. You will be returned to the app after completing check in.

If you are eligible for a free checked bag, or if you have special items to check or more than 2 bags per person, you will not be able to use the app for those items. Please complete check-in at an airport kiosk or on HawaiianAirlines.com.

On the Home screen, tap "Sign In" in the upper right. For now, you need to sign in using your 9-digit HawaiianMiles number and password, or username and password. For now, your email address cannot be used to sign in.

The app syncs with the upcoming trips in your HawaiianMiles account and lets you view your current miles balance. If you need to manage your account, you can click on "Book" to open HawaiianAirlines.com in your mobile browser. Then click the icon in the upper right to sign in to your full HawaiianMiles profile.

Tap the "Flight Status" button in the icon bar, then search for their flight by flight number or route. Tap "Add to Watchlist" to save it for quick reference and receive notifications on your phone if there are any changes.

These are lists of checked-in passengers in order of priority for standby seats and upgrades, respectively. Like most airlines, we identify passengers on these lists by their first initial and the first three letters of their last name. 152ee80cbc
