Overview
Hover Vertical Tabs (“the Extension”) provides a vertical sidebar for viewing and managing Chrome tabs.
The Extension processes only the information necessary to provide its features. This processing occurs locally within the user’s browser. The Extension does not transmit user data to the developer or to external servers.
Information Processed by the Extension
To provide tab management features, the Extension processes the following information locally:
Titles, URLs, and favicons of currently open tabs
Tab status, including pinned, active, audible, and muted states
Chrome tab group information, including group names, colors, collapsed states, and associated tabs
Names and URLs of shortcuts added by the user to the custom new tab page
Under Chrome Web Store definitions, tab titles and URLs may be categorized as web history. This information is used only to display and operate the vertical tab sidebar.
Purpose of Use
The information listed above is used only for the following purposes:
Displaying open tabs in the vertical sidebar
Searching, switching, reordering, closing, pinning, and muting tabs
Displaying, creating, editing, collapsing, and removing Chrome tab groups
Displaying shortcuts on the custom new tab page
Adjusting website layouts to reserve space for the sidebar
The Extension does not use this information for advertising, analytics, profiling, behavioral tracking, credit assessment, or any purpose unrelated to its tab management features.
Local Storage and Data Retention
Information about currently open tabs and tab groups is not permanently stored by the Extension.
Shortcut names and URLs added to the custom new tab page are stored using Chrome’s local extension storage on the user’s device. This information is not synchronized with or transmitted to a server operated by the developer.
Users can edit or delete shortcuts from the custom new tab page. Locally stored Extension data can also be removed by uninstalling the Extension.
Website Access and Page Content
The Extension requires access to ordinary web pages to display the sidebar and adjust page layouts according to the sidebar width.
For layout adjustment, the Extension may locally examine layout-related properties such as element position, size, and fixed or sticky display behavior.
The Extension does not collect or store website text, images, audio, video, form entries, cookies, passwords, authentication information, or private communications.
The Extension does not log or collect mouse movements, clicks, scrolling activity, or keystrokes for analytics or tracking purposes.
External Transmission and Third-Party Sharing
The Extension does not:
Transmit tab information, browsing information, shortcut information, or website content to the developer or external servers
Sell user data
Share user data with third parties
Use user data for advertising or marketing
Use analytics or tracking services
Use remote code
All tab management and page layout processing is performed locally within the browser.
Personal and Sensitive Information
The Extension does not collect personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, personal communications, or precise location information.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The Extension’s use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security
Because the Extension does not operate an external server and does not transmit user data externally, information processed by the Extension remains within the user’s Chrome environment.
Users should keep Chrome and the Extension updated to help maintain browser security.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the Extension’s features or data practices change.
Any changes will be published on this page together with an updated “Last Updated” date.

個人情報および機密情報
本拡張機能は、個人を特定できる情報、健康情報、財務・支払い情報、認証情報、個人的な通信内容または正確な位置情報を収集しません。
Chrome Web Store User Data Policyへの準拠
本拡張機能によるChrome APIから取得した情報の利用は、Limited Use要件を含むChrome Web Store User Data Policyに準拠します。
セキュリティ
