Calls and walk ins are welcomed

SHS provides rental and utility assistance services for people who are at risk of homelessness, and can also assist with security and utility deposits. Navigators can email Kristen Connors (contact above) with the client’s name, contact information, and intake form. SHS will reach out to them and assess their eligibility; or tenants are welcome to call the office at 803-343-3437.

Clients must:

• Be renting and have a lease agreement (no mortgage assistance)

• Income must be equal or less than the 50% Area Median Income based on household size (see chart below)

• Where relevant, a disconnect notice for utilities and/or late rent/eviction notice from the landlord
