Richland Library’s social workers provide a connection for area residents who are seeking reliable information about and assistance with healthcare (including Medicaid and Medicare), housing, food (including vouchers and SNAP), and FAFSA forms. The social worker program also offers financial assistance for residents who need to purchase a state ID, drivers license, or birth certificate. Limited financial assistance for those impacted by COVID or transitioning from homelessness is also available. Social workers determine the eligibility for these financial assistance programs.
