Tenants must go to a pantry in the county in which they reside.
Residents can get food from any of of Harvest Hope’s partner agencies in 20 SC counties. Harvest Hope has emergency food pantries in Greenville and Columbia, but those may not be the closest to the tenant, so check their website to see what's nearby. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, hours may vary.
Each pantry varies in how much food they can provide, but you'll get a few days worth of non-perishable and perishable groceries such as fruit, vegetables, bread, meat, and dried goods. Our partners must follow strict safety guidelines, so you can be confident serving your family any food you receive. Food pantries occasionally have personal care supplies in addition to food for clients who need them.
Tenants do not need an appointment to access a food bank during its hours of operation.
Please go to this website to enter the tenant’s zip code and help them find a food pantry or soup kitchen. We recommend calling the food pantry to verify hours of operation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tenants must go to a pantry in the county where they reside.
Tenants must bring:
Current picture ID for everyone in the household, with their current physical address and birthday
If a tenant does not have a picture ID, they will be given donated food (rather than government commodity foods)
